I’m trying to find the tweet/skeet about someone saying they are going to organize an uprising of the people but they are one of the most personally off putting people you’ve ever met. Anyone got it?
I teach a weekend workshop on Excel for undergraduates every year. Excel is always a little persnickety but this year had way more instances of just buggy nonsense (e.g., functions just not showing up for some students). I sort of instinctual blame vibecoding for this? Is that right?
Mike Nellis @MikeNellis "I'M NO LONGER CATHOLIC!" Hannity ABANDONS HIS FAITH for Trump NELLIS X.com • +*+
Amazing that in the national divorce the libs are getting the NFL, butter and cooking oil, being attracted to adult women, standup comedy, Bud Light, and now also Catholicism
calls for “viewpoint diversity” are little more than demands for a quota system for political conservatives who otherwise could not hack it www.aaup.org/academe/issu...
Spending a lot of time ripping out crab grass by hand so my clover can take root out back, and it has me meditating a lot on what it means to take out fascists.
We always used to say it was whack-a-mole, it wasn't.
Successful antifascism in a democracy is a practice of weeding

Maybe we can call it “HI” — Human Intelligence.
Instead of “data centers”, we could fund “schools”.
Instead of *stealing* art, literature, and science, we help people *create* it.
Crazy!
A milestone in March: for the first time ever, renewables provided more power on the US grid than natural gas.
Humanity did that. Science did that. Publicly-funded research did that. Excellent universities did that. Diversity did that. International cooperation did that.
Artemis II is a perfect example of what we can do at our best.
Welcome home, Integrity crew!
It represents the best of us. It was a peaceful mission that constituted an international effort; the ESA was involved and built the service module, there was a Canadian astronaut onboard... It's a glimpse, even in dark times, of all we *can* be both as a nation and, more importantly, as a species.
me when someone cites the deep magic to me even though I was there when it was written: holy shit, for real? I don't remember that part at all
the realest part of The Metamorphosis is how on top of everything he is still expected to show up at the office somehow
BREAKING NEWS Chris Taylor won a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, widening liberal control of the court to a 5-to-2 majority.
I’m old enough to remember when Wisconsin was lost forever, doomed to be run by Scott Walker for all eternity
"This is not who we are" should always be understood as an aspirational statement that carries forward the legacy of countless Americans who fought and died to make it as true as possible, to create the space for you and I to take up the rallying cry.
All of us are dissociated and dissociating to make it through today. I hope you give yourself and others grace.
Tomorrow is the last day to take our science communication survey!

Ok step one is to make them look less delicious
Cities can now achieve “what was once thought impossible”: cutting air pollution by 20–45% in little more than a decade. 19 cities, including London, San Francisco and Beijing, cut levels of both PM2.5 and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) by more than 20% since 2010.

12.7M acres of solar is is about 82% of the solar required to decarbonize the US in the Net Zero America E+ scenario (there's wind and existing nuclear and stuff in there too, but that's the solar portion).
Or we can have 5% of our gasoline displaced.
There isn’t an APA style pizza, yet.
it's incredible that as long as you do the right amount of bigotry you can just rob the country blind and enough people will not care, even though those same people will be filled with incandescent rage if someone uses food stamps to buy a 12 pack of diet coke
Ooof. This right here.
Actually doing political work is not cool. It's a lot of being in meetings with earnest dorks who remind you of your parents.
If you want to be edgy and badass and aloof and SO much cooler than the normies, you should get into obscure film or fashion or music or whatever.
It’s just funny that they’re still pretending it’s because he was such a great general and not because he fought for ethnonationalism and slavery. All that edglord nonsense and they still can’t be honest bsky.app/profile/bern...
