Hi Bluesky it's been a while! I've been busy finishing an amigurumi of Totoro that I started before Christmas (2.5mm hook makes me so slow!). So this afternoon I wanted something quick to do - I didn't have the right yarn so this is designated as a practice piece. A chicken butt coaster! Crochet 🧶

I did use tiny led lights inside the eyes, but left a gap so that they can be replaced. The designer is lovely to talk to if you have any queries too! When I've finished the Totoro amigurumi I'm making for a friend and the hexagon cardigan I'm making for me I'll take another look at her patterns.

I've made this - mine is the most recent if you look at the projects on ravelry. Was a really nice pattern to work with and everything was explained really well :D

There is some black in the skein itself (well maybe a dark charcoal colour). I think I'll have to do some practice squares in different stitches to see how it works up. I have over 2kg of this yarn so I think I can afford to play with it a bit!😍

I love it, it's not scratchy and definitely acrylic so I'll be fine wearing it, but my goth brain is struggling to work out how to use such bright colours! I've used ombre yarn and rainbow yarn before but this is totally out of my brains comfort zone. 🤣
