also recently rewatched blue eye samurai, and the tale of the ronin reminds me horribly of Vergil (I'm actually somewhat certain that is probably the influence behind his story) anyways the curse never ends

also another thing to add, which I find quite juicy, is that Dante also won Nero's trust and respect. I do think Nero is fond of Vergil, wants to forgive him, and wishes him in his life, but Nero probably prefers Dante as a role model at the end of the day LOL

I think a lot about Vergil's jealousy and resentment towards Dante. In Vergil's eyes, Dante is the one who's always winning. He's the one who got Mother's love, he's the one who honored Father's legacy, he's the one who killed Mundus and avenged his family.

It’s been a while, coming here to say that I love Victor Gideon from re9 so much. He’s such a charming, intimidating, stupid villain. His vocal performance really does it for me. Also his design is so fucking delicious
