Hand-drawn meme of guy in armour fallen over next to can of spilled red colour, looking up in distress at looming shadow of person
Sure, I'll make sure to be very intentful about all my future red usage.... oh no, I spilled it all!

I've got nothing at hand, but should be rather easy to figure out: populate a scene with 10000 blades of grass or something, create a duplicate of that scene with alternative blades of grass with a closer cutout, see if it performs better.
I mean, with cutout you don't pay the performance impact of overdraw, since you will be writing to the z-buffer, but you will still be paying the cost of alpha-testing for every single transparent pixel that will be discarded, no?
There still seems to be a lot of unnecessary transparency around the vegetation cutouts that could be avoided by cutting closer to the plants - is there a specific reason you are leaving this much room around the leaves?

Constructive criticism/a helpful tip: when studying proportions, it's sometimes hard to get the angles of limbs right when studying poses. What I found to be really helpful is to not just look at the proportions of the character itself, but also the negative space surrounding them.

Sometimes I see avatars using 4k/8k textures to add ultra-high details (textile, skin, leather), but it's rarely needed.
So, here's a short thread about Secondary Maps/Details mask, which most shaders support (even Unity Standard).

The theme for this piece hope of future and I got inspired by Saimaa ringed seal. The piece was made with this beautiful Ink-Crimson Palette by @inkpendude.bsky.social. This was a challenge but it was super fun to work with the limitations of the palette ^-^

116.2k VERTS?!
That sounds incredibly fascinating, but is also something my poor brain has trouble wrapping its smooth surface around. Could you explain that in a bit more detail if possible? Or throw a link to some article/paper if this approach was inspired by something.

Well, even if you didn't get what you wanted out of it, it's still pretty cool - definitely an unusual & challenging choice of perspective
For a second I thought this was just a shitpost with a flipped image, nothing changed.
