So, Oma almost died last month. She had a gastric torsion and needed emergency surgery within hours.
She pulled through, but honestly, after paying for the surgery, I can't even cover rent this month.

I usually* follow VAC's per-line guidelines unless it's a table/live read, then I go per-hour.
* For foreign productions, especially where a handful of lines at those standards can mean over a full workday's worth, my rates will be similar to local VAs.

Some sting because they seemed ridiculously tailored to me (bilingual plus familiarity with other specific languages, age, etc)… but "local talent only".
