Just looked this back up for something I'm working on, and think it bears repeating.

The NYC subways are incredibly safe. What people see is not violence, but disorder.

That person (and they are a person) sleeping on the train poses very little risk, however unsettling ppl find them.

Good morning, I'm trans.

I'm ignoring news about who thinks trans people deserve rights & bodily autonomy. I'm focusing on being out & supporting trans ppl in my communities.

Here's a list of resources, I forget who made it initially (sorry!) but it looks good.

I started an academic criminologists/criminal justice scholars starter pack.
This is an ongoing starter pack that I am still expanding, so please let me know if you'd like to be added (sorry for any omissions!), and please share if you find it useful.

Trafficking Survivors and Advocates Are Being Harassed by ‘Sound of Freedom’ Fans Survivor leaders in the anti-trafficking movement are attempting to confront the issues around the surprise blockbuster film – and facing a hail of invective in the process.

“Thus far, Sound of Freedom has grossed $155 million+ at the box office. The amount of money the film has made is almost unreal to the survivors doing anti-trafficking work, who often struggle to fundraise for things as small as the cost of a bus ticket.”
