View of the Queen’s House and naval college in Greenwich, with the skyscrapers of the Isle of Dogs in the background
A happy and tired looking blue and tan border terrier, the bestest girl
Day out to Greenwich to see my daughter for lunch. Lovely place 😃
Samurai armour with ornate helmet topped with golden bamboo forecrest
Samurai helmet with horns and a hand clutching (apparently) a vajra. Next to it is a helmet decorated with a dragon clutching a sword
scroll depicting several samurai warriors graphically hacking the head off an ogre. The head then attacks one samurai
Darth Vader costume
Went to see the Samurai exhibition at the British Museum this afternoon. Excellent, really interesting.
Arsenal going Spursy is top irony
A stage, with a band performing on it, with a large projected backdrop reading ‘Belle & Sebastian’
Went to see Belle & Sebastian at the Albert Hall tonight. Superb 👏🏻👏🏻
1960s or 1970s postcard of a K-type (?) London bus
Great place, went a few years ago (with sensible shoes, obvs). And specifically looked for that bus on the end, as my uncle was on its museum postcard back in the 60s/70s (he was a mechanic and worked at the museum in Clapham)
[theme tune immediately pops into head]
I’ve been to the London GM twice. Incredibly busy (and hot) both times, almost impossible to move. But I got what I was after both times (a 2DS and an ice-blue DS Lite) at what I wanted to pay. And plenty more besides!
It is a treasured memory, for sure. She would also usually win!
Yes! It used to be an annual Christmas-time game I’d play with my daughter. As well as the Top Trumps side of things, we’d mime the drawings on the card, between selecting the category and stating the score. She grew up but I’ve still got the box, should anyone want to see my ‘Factory Child’ mime 😄
Well, they certainly have good form in that regard 🤔
Gutted that Tudor has left Spurs - it was just about to come good 😏
April’s price rise - and the fear of more to come - coupled with various places knocking money off this weekend, has led to me finally pulling the trigger on a PS Pro purchase
Excellent! I look forward to reading it.
If Bournemouth’s is as busy as London’s, it’s stressful as a punter, let alone a stallholder! It’ll all seem worth it when you can book the holiday that the proceeds pay for, I hope. I’ll be interested to hear how you get on. 🤞🏻
Good luck tomorrow 👍🏻
Daily Mirror/C&VG Top 30 software chart from July 1984
I remember poring over these charts back in the day 🤓. Played Atic Atac on Evercade a few weeks ago - still holds up
An advert for Psyclapse and Bandersnatch, C64 and ZX Spectrum mega games developed by Imagine, featuring just the names on a plain white background, from the July 1984 edition of C&VG
These look great. Been waiting for over forty years 😄

My early morning routine of Tubedoku thwarted by the site being down 🙁
True! 😄
That’s a decent holiday’s worth 😉
Cheers. Good luck knocking out your games and hope it’s not overpoweringly busy 🤞🏻👍🏻
Is the Bournemouth one as mad as the London one? I went to the latter after your article in RG (with a mind to in future doing what you did and selling off part of my collection) but it was so busy (which you’d said tbf) I could barely move and couldn’t see myself doing it. Still bought stuff, mind😃
Never underestimate our (WHUFC’s) ability to disappoint
A view across York and Yorkshire from the top of York Minster. Two gothic towers in the foreground frame the city
A view of the medieval city of York from the top of Clifford’s Tower. York Minster sits prominently in the background, with an arrow drawn on the photo pointing to the central tower
Took a day off yesterday for a trip to York. Walked up and down the 275 steps of the central tower of the Minster, and I can feel every one of them in my legs this morning!
Hadn’t they gone through enough?
What do they teach people in schools today etc etc 😆
I had spoken to my Mum, who I was joining in Florida, and she’d said the forecast was bad, and so I was wearing a replica 1960s West Ham home shirt and a leather jacket 😃
Also a flight when the announcement “if there’s a doctor onboard, could they make themselves known to the cabin crew” was made. Newfoundland was very cold and most of the other passengers were dressed for Florida, where most of us were going via Bangor.
