"Andrew, 37, doesn’t even recall trying to claim it, but said he had a desire to come out of the divorce feeling like he had won.
That sometimes led him to fight over things he didn’t particularly like, such as a round kitchen table worth perhaps a few hundred dollars. "

"Even though I’d recognised the scam early and hadn’t lost any money, I felt a tiny bit bereft. Just for a moment, I’d found myself daydreaming about what this new, exciting role might be like – and what I could do with the salary. My ego was dented." www.theguardian.com/money/2026/a...
I only have bad things to say about Jennifer's decision to remain on "Top Chef" despite the franchise's every last effort to award her grace.

Oh god, I have five back-to-back calls this afternoon.
What have I gotten myself into?
"Technological progress may be increasing our exposure. AI agents are becoming notorious for accidental deletions, while the proliferation of data centers has inflated the cost of storage. And, despite exponential growth in capacity, the average hard drive’s life span remains under seven years."

A friend’s dog was bullied by the resident cat. The cat would routinely eat the dog’s food at feeding time, and then its own food. One day the dog got fed up and peed on its own food and walked off. The cat ate its food. The dog came back an hour later and was like, who the fuck peed on my food
During the pandemic, I logged into two Zoom brises that overlapped in the same hour, which resulted in some people, via my laptop, to hear the wrong baby named during the other bris. A hilarious thing to happen.

Love this.
We had one of our best book club sessions last night. The book was meh.
We spoke about ourselves - round-robin style, as usual - for 95 minutes, about the book for 22 minutes.
I began pitching reporters this morning at 6:35 am. I am confident I found every reporter I needed to by 8:15 am.
I love early-morning pitching sessions.
Time to get moving.
