Half Man review – Richard Gadd’s Baby Reindeer follow-up is brutal, pointless misfire Gadd and Jamie Bell co-star as extremely dysfunctional step-brothers in Gadd’s new BBC drama, which has some of the most unlikable characters on TV

I didn't vibe at all with Half Man. I'll be curious to see what the viewing public make of it.

If Andy Burnham becomes Labour leader, these sort of comments would make me think twice about what Karl Turner would actually mean by “getting the whip”…

A Long Time In Finance: The Turning Point: How Arnault gobbled up LVMH How did Bernard Arnault go from running a construction company in Lille to being Europe's richest man? Neil and Jonathan look at the moment that changed everything for Arnault, the man they call "...

Really interesting episode of A Long Time in Finance this morning, on Bernard Arnault's LVMH empire and the convoluted machinations that saw him end up as Europe's richest man.

Every young British journalist seems to be suddenly attempting TikTok and they're all doing the same thing where they announce a shocking headline ("the Labour party has a pedophile problem!" is one I saw) and then start explaining. Did everyone go on the same course or something?

Michael Jackson: An American Tragedy misses every opportunity – review The scandal-hit life of the ‘King of Pop’ falls under the microscope in this wholly unnecessary new three-part documentary

You may have read about budget cuts to the BBC's factual commissioning, but they've somehow scrounged up the cash for another documentary about Michael Jackson. Does it say anything new? I don't think so.

Currently obsessed with the fact that Bubbles, Michael Jackson's chimp (who slept in his bed, travelled the world with him, was friends with Elizabeth Taylor, photographed by Kenny Rogers, enraged Freddie Mercury...etc) is still alive. He's 43 and living at a sanctuary in Florida.

I think Euphoria has always been a show where some things work and some things don't (I watched 1 & 2 back-to-back, so don't remember too much of a difference). But I kind of respect the bad decisions!

Euphoria season 3 doesn’t just own its contradictions, it masters them – review Sam Levinson’s drama returns after a four-year hiatus, with its cast – from Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya to Jacob Elordi – now Hollywood’s hottest young talents

Having spent the past three years attempting to live down my 4-star review of The Idol, it is with great pleasure that I award the new season of Euphoria... ⭐⭐⭐⭐!

There's still occasional joy to be had on Twitter: such as Claude Littner posting about the "sad news" that Stuart Baggs ('the Brand') has died, a mere 11 years after Baggs passed away.

I remember studying American politics at school, and they made such a big deal of of this concept of "checks and balances". Was that all purely hypothetical?

Am I going mad or is this an insanely over the top CAPTCHA for me to try and buy anti-pigeon spray? (Side note: does anyone have any anti-pigeon spray recommendations?)

Striking that there's no consensus on where to put the apostrophe in April Fools'/Fool's. The first implies either a day for all fools in April, or a day for, specifically, April fools. The latter suggest the existence of a singular April Fool, who we are celebrating (like the Feast of St Michael).

Miscarriage drama Babies has superb acting, but feels like a brutal slog – review Siobhán Cullen and Paapa Essiedu star as a married couple in their mid-thirties who are struggling to conceive

I had kind of complex feelings about new BBC drama Babies.

Is the U.K. 'Saturday Night Live' working? Viewers are 'pleasantly surprised' Two shows in, Saturday Night Live UK viewers are pleasantly surprised by what they're seeing. The late night spinoff has a lot to prove in a short season.

You can hear me, very briefly, saying that SNL UK is (probably) doomed to failure on NPR's All Things Considered, below.
