This generation won't know the struggle of renting a VHS of the first 3 episodes of the Trunks saga of DBZ and then realizing the video store doesn't have the next one.

It may seem funny, but I've seen so few snakes in my life that every once in a while I wonder if there's any chance I'm afraid of snakes. Then I get an encounter with one and get excited to get up close with it, so... clearly not afraid, lol.

Well countries like Canada are not going to absolutely tank their economies by blocking all trade with the US either, so I'm not sure why you suggested it.

Okay, but Parker suggested other countries should fight the US by ending all trade with the US and tanking their economies.

The 25th amendment ends once the President submits a written statement that he can execute the duties of the President. It's quite literally not designed for a situation where he's conscious.

- Walmart ad (but in French, which I don't really speak)
- Sports betting ad (I don't gamble and certainly bet on sports online if I did)

Youtube ads cannot figure me out lately. Last bunch I've gotten:
- Hair Loss product (at 41 I'm still not losing my hair)
- gui-gui (some kind of slime product marketed toward teen girls)
- Product for quitting smoking (I've never smoked)
- Website for dating Asian women specifically (wtf?)

Did an autism spectrum test for fun (as one should every once in a while) and no real surprise, I'm... likely not autistic. Always makes sense when I see that - I have some detail/planning-related traits, but understand socializing too well. Just an online test of course, but seems right.

This sign raises many questions, which probably should be answered by the sign but aren't

Of standard potato chip flavors, there are only a few flavors that can be someone's 'favorite' that I truly respect: Dill Pickle, Salt and Vinegar, or Ketchup. Everything else is just fine, or actually awful. And sour cream and Onion is an insult to the potatoes themselves and the person eating them

OpenAI is planning to discontinue the app for its Sora video platform, a product it released to great fanfare last year that has since fallen from public view, according to the company.
The move is one of a number of steps OpenAI is taking to refocus on business and coding functions ahead of a potential initial public offering as soon as the fourth quarter of this year.
CEO Sam Altman announced the changes to staff on Tuesday, writing that the company would wind down products that use its video models. In addition to the consumer app, OpenAI is also discontinuing a version of Sora for developers and wonโt support video functionality inside ChatGPT, either.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has relinquished direct oversight of the companyโs safety and security teams so he can focus on raising capital, supply chains and โbuilding datacenters at unprecedented scale,โ he told staff on Tuesday.
At the same time, he said the company had completed the initial development of its next major AI model, codenamed Spud, and would wind down the Sora AI video mobile app, which employees had complained was a drag on the companyโs computing resources during a time of heightened competition with foes such as Anthropic and Google.
Both the Wall Street Journal and The Information confirming that OpenAI is killing Sora - both the app and *access to its video-generating model for developers*. This is a huge move that suggests things are a bit desperate
