I've seen a lot of references online to a "J. Edgar Boozer" and although I'm not saying anyone in particular deserves that appellation, I do think it would be the perfect name for someone serving as head of the Federal Bureau of Intoxication, if there were such a thing, which I'm not saying there is

The Justice Dept’s theory of the case— that the group that single-handedly disassembled the Ku Klux Klan defrauded its donors by concealing that it was using paid informant to do that work and more— has about as much merit as the now-dismissed charges against Jim Comey.
This year, we're not just going to send Mike Rogers back to Florida.
We're going to flip the 4th, the 7th, the 10th, the State House, and expand our State Senate majority.
The rest of the country is counting on us. Let’s show ‘em how it’s done.
BREAKING: Mallory McMorrow just brought down the house at the Michigan Democratic Party Women's caucus. Let's go!
What did Big Bird ever do to Progressive Insurance?
Lovely. Pete Hegseth is replacing the Gospels of Jesus Christ with the Gospel of Quentin Tarantino.

BREAKING: Mallory McMorrow just became the first Michigan Senate candidate to submit 30k signatures to get on the ballot.
They were collected entirely by volunteers.
I'm reminded of the infamous "hot garbage" poll of 2018, which also heavily overrepresented Sanders supporters, that El-Sayed and his media fans used to claim he was in striking distance of Whitmer in the gubernatorial primary. Whitmer beat him by more than 20 points. /2-fin @djrothkopf.bsky.social
From a poll based on a sample of Michigan Democrats who prefer Bernie Sanders to Gretchen Whitmer, El-Sayed supporters in the press are now claiming he's tied with McMorrow and Stevens. /1
President Trump cannot fire the pope, indict him, impose tariffs on him, or kick him out of the Vatican.
Leo’s pulpit reaches every Catholic parish on the planet, and Trump cannot shout it down.
What a gaudy, monstrous eyesore.
El-Sayed is by far the lowest-hanging fruit.
Ducky.
Impossible to disagree with a single word that Ben Rhodes (Obama era NSC official) is saying here:
I will never understand how the populist left would ever be all in for a candidate who seems bucking for the Pete Hegseth endorsement.

Happy Easter, Michigan! To me, celebrating Easter means welcoming new beginnings and looking to the future with hope and optimism. From cherished family traditions to moments spent together, it’s a joyful reminder of the hope that moves our state forward. 🌷🐣💛
I’m glad Trump and Hegseth “totally destroyed” Iran’s air defense systems last week so none of our aircraft would get shot down.
We’re not even getting into weird ass shit like when he told importer countries in Asia to “grab and cherish” the strait of Hormuz like they’re assaulting some underaged beauty pageant contestant. Dude is seriously deranged.
It seems pretty imperative at this point that El-Sayed goes down in the August primary. He would be toast in November. Mike Rogers would eat him for breakfast.

It seems Mallory McMorrow's campaign is going well. The cosplay-left Gaza obsessives are spending a lot more energy attacking her than Haley Stevens, who is much more their ideological foe.
And McMorrow is no Islamophobe. I have no idea where you're even getting that.
You are very high on the supply of your self-righteousness. Anyone who doesn't see voting as voting for best outcomes is an idiot. Voting in a way that directly or indirectly helps Trump is a vote against best outcomes. Period. Don't be a fool.
You are a fool.
I am jealous of your privilege that your life is so wonderful beyond your upset about Gaza. Trump in power hurts me and many, many others a good deal. But I'm glad you are beyond having to worry about such things for yourself.
Harris lost due to single-race voters uptight about inflation and affordability. They threw caution to the wind and voted for change. It was foolish, and we're all starting to reap the whirlwind now. But it had nothing to do with your issues and compromises over them.
I don't tell politicians to do good or bad. Politicians are not moralists. I want them to do what's best for the most people. Harris would have been better for the most people than Trump. By far. That's why I supported her.
I didn't tell anyone to punch left. But when no compromise means enabling the worst outcome--and Trump is leagues worse for your cause than Harris would have been--you might want to give compromise a chance. Harris lost because of knee-jerk reactions to inflation, not your issue.
Crispy pad thai is a Mike Rogers supporter. No ifs ands or buts. All for Jared Kushner turning Gaza into a Riviera built on Gazan corpses. Enjoy the blood.
