But yes, the explicit vilification of ICE (especially in “Assimilation” & “Watcher”) and tech oligarchs in the text of the show and not just through metaphor/allegory was great.

It’s so interesting to look at that season (and season 1, to a similar extent) through that lens. There are many interesting and fresh ideas at play in both seasons, but coupled with some really…questionable (?)…storytelling and thematic choices.

Can't tell you how many members of Congress who *at best* had nothing to say when I asked about the Minab girls school attack. There is a profanely cold detachment inside Capitol Hill, a mode completely unrecognizable to common human decency I wish I could properly convey to you.
