It does have however what is probably my least favorite scene in the game from a writing perspective

S.F. is better but mostly by virtue of the fact that it only focuses on a small handful of characters and the others don't really do much of anything, therefore he has fewer opportunities to ruin them.

This route is by far the worst when it comes to characterization. Uchikoshi has said he has tried to mirror Kodaka's style and he generally sort of manages but here it's abundantly clear that he came up with the plot first and just sort of... forced the round characters into square pegs for it.

I wouldn't call it a "Kawana route" necessarily, but there is a third route where she gets to do some things, and it also happens to be one of my very favorites, so look forward to that.

I like Slasher, but that's because I went into it already knowing the Hiruko lore. It's a route where a lot of people tend to either get annoyed at the game or burn out simply because it is so reliant on that context, and that's a shame, because there are other routes that handle Hiruko lore better.

Probably the funniest contribution Mine has to this game is the implicit statement the writers made that she objected to Kodaka's dirty jokes in his routes, but not to Uchikoshi's dirty jokes... which were by his own admission copied directly from Kodaka.

I feel like how you feel about this route depends on how much you resonate with it emotionally. Some people see it as a black comedy route, whereas others (such as myself) see it as an horror route where the characters' free will are violated in increasingly uncomfortable ways.

The Infinite Forms don't have a name in the English localization. When they say "∞態!", it's translated as "Blood of my bond, release!" and when Eva talks about it in her bond events, she just says "we must transform". The Western fandom just refers to them as their "Commander forms"

Thinking about it now, I actually think one of Uchikoshi's routes is a dead ringer for Chapter 4 even moreso than Truth, but again I can't explain why currently.

Chapter 4: This one is hard to assign because it is very much designed around Deltarune's specific narrative structure; the midway point where everything you thought you knew is overturned for a new status quo. In absence of better options I pick Truth Route but will not elaborate on why.

Chapter 3: Casual. You haven't even started this one yet so I won't go into details, but it's the whole idea of distracting yourself with pleasant, nostalgic memories with the subtle undercurrent that something is very wrong. Sneaking away at 1 AM to play SNES, then a robber breaks into your house.

Chapter 2: CoA. Corny fun times with a wistful sense of hollowness and nostalgia to it; ignoring the "real problem". There's a cute, if basic, romance that some people are really into, and some aren't. I always thought that if this game had a Weird Route equivalent, Eito would have Spamton's role.

Month late, but here's my take. I'm Formless from BL btw:
Chapter 1: Exists to establish the basics of the setting and set up stuff for later, so Route 0. King is like Eito in that he superficially resembles a major antagonist from the author's previous game but is very different.
