Congrats! So excited to read the final product!
So in fresh smoke the ozone gets titrated out by all the VOCs but its more complicated as the smoke moves and ages- this paper is a great look into the chemistry! www.science.org/doi/full/10....
Congratulations Haroula!! so deserved!
2 postdocs with the Farmer group at Colorado State U for a 12-month project on indoor photochemistry starting summer 2025:
1 on gas-phase chemistry, TOF-CIMS with ozone & NOx measurements.
1 on aerosol-phase chemistry, size distributions measurements and aerosol composition.

Breaking News: Trump officials said they would freeze $2.2 billion in grants to Harvard after the university refused the administration’s demands.
Clouds darkening over NOAA research. We are slated for elimination in next years budget. Astonishing loss to the nation and the world if it happens.
A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.
Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.
Promotional material for Pacifichem session on atmospheric chemistry. The due date for abstracts is April 2 and the meeting is in December in Honolulu.
If you do research in atmospheric chemistry, I hope you consider joining us for Pacifichem in Hawaii!
We are looking forward to a great set of sessions. The due date for abstracts is April 2, but there is some flexibility. Let me know if you are interested!
