I think my biggest issue was the big bad was just... a fire. It didn't really emote vocally or visually. It didn't really do anything. So there didn't feel like any real stakes and a lot of what happened just didn't matter. Which is a shame, cause the animation style was generally amusing.
I'm just imagining your version of a saline set up requires chemical semi trucks full of it at the very least.
