Wouldn't they have manually recorded and photographed much more than what they streamed and shared publically now? Not sure how many times they had a right window angle for some good shots, but I'd go ham as an astronaut and fill my memory card making sure I got an album worth.

As a kid we had this game on the Commodore 64 called Gribbles Day Out. You were a little alien and u had to collect small creatures on a big level. And there were this weird creatures flying around with one scary crab creature that made a loud electric crackling noise, chasing you.

Finally! I've been looking for a childhood fishing game for years as it was embedded in my childhood memories. I threw a Photoshop mockup of what I remembered it looked like on Reddit (left image) and someone found it! "TNN Outdoors Bass Tournament '96". And I played it on DosBox! (right images):

This morning I found the cause of a long standing bug in Proj. JP and I was able to fix it immediately too. But then I had to go to work right after. So now I'm sitting here with "dev excitement", counting down the clock.

You can't buy the original version of Dark Forces on digital storefronts anymore. Disney took away a whole list of games with "expired licenses". Hold on to that physical copy... it's going to outlast the digital space.

With the help of a Fusion expert on Reddit I managed to rework all fast projectile mechanics in Project JP. Previously the trajectory of a bullet would have limited angles, causing it to often miss your crosshair position. The new method uses manual calculations. It's super smooth with more control.

New Elden Ring cut content video!

Early in development, a cutscene existed that would have shown Miquella planting the Haligtree, even long before the DLC was announced. You can see it, and some information about it, in this video I made: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSUR...

Please repost!

I hate people who plan meetings at the actual minute you start your work day. Please... I need my hour of de-zombify rituals.

OK, looks good. The fact they don't go fully Hollywood camera but keep the VHS type footage is great. I actually do hope there's sections of silent eerie exploration as well. I do wonder if this movie will focus more on the Rooms mystery or the character's personal story arc.

Based New Blood devs, as always.
I wonder if they're going to try and use DLSS5 specifically for video game announcement trailers at Summer Games Fest and TGA. I can totally see Todd Howard using it to "enhance" the graphics to promote The Elder Scrolls VI when they finally are ready to show it.

3D Dinosaur Adventure on Steam In 3D Dinosaur Adventure, players explore the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods and learn about Dinosaurs. They interact with a wide variety of dinosaurs including Apatosaurus, Tyrannosaurus,...

Two of the first CD-ROMs my father bought for us are coming to Steam along with the other "Knowledge Adventure" products like "3D Body Adventure". We got these with our first PC, one of the first Pentiums, running OS/2 Warp (lol). And perfect for me, still infected with the Jurassic Park dino-fever.

Silent Hill f carries a lot of Silent Hill's series signatures like the foggy town, melee combat and psychological horror. But f delves more into Japanese culture and is set in the 1960's. I think the storytelling is one of the series best and it's dressed up with beautiful AND haunting imagery.

Depends on what you find scary. As far as I remember It's less "jump scary" than Silent Hill 2, where you had leggies hiding around corners that jump at you. But in f enemies creep up on you from the fog when your back is turned for example. It also leans more towards Japanese horror (Kuon, Siren).

Spend this weekend reworking systems for Project JP and fixing the problems that come along with that. Making the interactions a bit more optimized and "solid". Also started my first test runs from start to finish, finding problems in code, pacing, tweak ideas. Still some edge case problems.

There is a subreddit dedicated to people defending generative AI Art. DON'T GO THERE, you'll lose sanity.
But I personally do have that morbid curiosity and some of the AI art posts they make there are proving every anti-AI art person right. And as expected criticism gets immediately mass downvoted.

Nvidia Answers my DLSS 5 Questions
Nvidia Answers my DLSS 5 Questions YouTube video by Daniel Owen

DLLS 5 is confirmed to be basically an AI Slop filter generating brand new frames based on "screenshots" of the current frame with motion data to predict the next frame. It's not doing anything to the in-game lighting, textures or geometry, it just pastes a new AI generate frame on your screen.

I'm one of those people that completely missed the "hype" for Crimson Desert. I thought it was another MMO as it looked so similar to other MMO's, a genre I'm not interested in at all. Then it turns out it is a lot like a single player MMO that tries too much, has bad pacing and weak storytelling.

Project JP update:
-Pause menu works... kinda. Fusion can't combine a "real" pause with separate pause menu. I need to deactivate groups when pressing ESC, which doesn't stop movement or animations.
-Aside from a main character pain/death sounds all "major" sound effects are now implemented (Yay!)

Some of these background decorations in the other world in the more gloomy areas are pretty "metal" for a (early) Zelda game. Some demonic Lovecraftian imagery, skeletal structures and half buried skull designs. Big contrast to the light world.

The second I recognized that it was Timothée chanting as part of the teaser's score, wow... he's LIVING this role. I haven't been this excited for a big cinematic "conclusion" since maybe... The Return of the King. It's one for the new generation.

Teaser looks GREAT! I'm in, no more need for any trailers. The wait begins.
