No, I have no spoons to know more about the latest disaster and violence that Uta Frith is making.
Note to self: Rest and stay away from that ugly corner of the world!!!
Thanks for reminding me!!!!!
A picture of a bamboo variety looking so intriguing to me
Here's kawayan for your feed today in case you're also interested in #bamboo these days! ππ

I sent him a DM there now. And thank you for tagging him on my post! π
I just watched the first episode of 3 Body Problem and I'm hooked!!!!
It's possible but I also want to give credit where credit is due. Language evolution comes from people and it's just a matter of when someone coined what. I'm not articulating this well! π
I guess I/we will find out more if I manage to get a reply from him. @dr-nicky.bsky.social suggested I ask him directly. I sent Joel Schwartz a message on LinkedIn and I also emailed his practice (Total Spectrum Counseling).
Thank you. I tried to send him a message on LinkedIn. I also sent an email to Total Spectrum Counseling with hopes that I can reach him directly. Would you know more direct ways to contact him?
Does anyone know how/where else I can confirm this claim? It would be important to know (and cite if needed) to prevent erasure of their contribution to the #Neurodiversity Movement.

I learned from Oswin Latimer (www.divergentminds.org/board-of-dir...) that Dr. Joel Schwartz coined the term 'Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy'.
This is the best I can find about this though it isn't the exact term. theneurodivergentcollective.com/what-is-affi...

Come on 2026!
Rest is *good*, unscheduled time is *good.* You are not always either producing or decaying. Creativity flows from shutting things up enough to hear yourself, to be able to synthesize everything youβve taken in lately.
If you're autistic - Try to lower your shoulders and pull your shoulder blades together, which will stop you from getting that awful neck pain you get all the time.
Am seeing so many tired and overwhelmed autistics after Christmas Day π
Friendly reminder:
- Rest if you need to
- Be alone if you need to
- Lie in a dark room if you need to
- Cancel plans if you need to
Itβs okay to have needs, even if they donβt look like other peopleβs β€οΈ

Pacing and finding energy, brainpower & time for all the things that I need or want doing are so hard. Good luck to us all!
As the only other trans member of staff there through the whole period in question: I want to be absolutely clear that Bentley's account coheres with my own experience and that they have my total and unapologetic solidarity.

I now get requests to review articles submitted to international journals and if I can be honest, the worst kinds are those submitted by "inclusive/special education" folks. I'm reviewing another paper today. Sadly, I will have to reject this one again. So many layers of coloniality and ableism! π€’π

My adulthood is becoming more of an inescapable cycle of deciding what I will not do out of all the things I do want to do. The more useful stuff I manage to do, the longer the wishlist becomes! Heartbreaking but such is life. Sorry, friends. π
