New York but get this, it's now old...
Made in a day out of pure boredom, have some more music but will be released after they have been properly remastered.

Worked on this game for this yearβs GMTK Game Jam with @mrfirstopinion.bsky.social
Checking it out and rating it will be massively appreciated!
Decided to re-add all the sound effects back and started to work on some music, just to give the game a feel I guess!

I love Destruction Derby 2 so that means a lot to me! Thank you!
Vehicle controller is finally nearing completion! Mainly focused on bug fixing and added some tiny animations to give the car a bit more personality. Sound effects will be re-added since I did a complete rewrite and didn't bother adding them back in yet.

Been writing a vehicle controller using CharacterBody3D since I'm planning on working on an arcade racing game. Might become open-source once it's fully implemented and bug free!

Managed to cram the standard scan-line algorithm to rasterize triangles into only 108 tokens, pretty happy with the result even though the movement is a bit jerky. Perhaps I'll try to implement perspective-correct texture mapping whenever I finish my previous project!

Spend the little time I had today working on procedural squash and stretching when jumping or landing, I think it makes everything flow a bit nicer! (and also 'cause it makes the cats look goofier)

Also learned today that the original version of Celeste was in fact written for PICO-8!
Decided to learn PICO-8 yesterday, ended up creating this! I also wrote a very rudimentary physics engine and animation system for this game. Loving it so far!

Neil banging out the tunes ~
A 10 year old girl with rosy cheeks, brown hair, green and light-green patterned shirt, red shorts, white socks and yellow shoes. Cell-shaded lighting is used to make it appear more cartoony.
Been working on this for around 8 hours straight. Had to remake the textures because the way Blender saves textures is by ???
Enjoy my own rendition of Chihiro from Spirited Away (although it doesn't really look much like her except for maybe the colour palette)
Have been working on a very basic crowd simulation in Godot the past few days, there are around 2000 entities in the area. Only 512 entities can be simulated and 16 can be animated at any time. But the player doesn't have to know.
I do have AI vehicles working which utilize navigation meshes in my current version but that has been scrapped temporarily as I focus on implementing more important mechanics.
Then I added some exhaust fumes 'cause I was really bored, and cones because they're fun to hit!
Around a month ago I started to work on a car driving system with Godot, dabbled a bit with audio and implemented fake gear shifting. Enjoy my very flawless parallel parking.
I think that about wraps it up, all new posts uploaded here will be entirely new. Yes, this took an entire month (or more?) because I am very lazy. π
Non-binary character with pink hair, pink shirt, light-blue shorts and light-blue spiked collar on their neck. They are smiling at the camera and showing off a peace sign with their left hand.
Totally Fine (not entirely sure about the colours but was fun to make!)
Non-binary character with pink hair, pink shirt, blue leather jacket and light-green trousers. They are pointing towards some text which spells out their name.
Brooke Elenoire (first iteration of OC or whatever)
A weird gnome looking creature with red skin, green facial hair and a long yellow hat. Almost everything is textured using the pattern fill tool, which I guess could be easily guessed based off the thumbnail.
Custom pattern fill tool discovered.
A very ugly drawing of a green goblin smiling. Their eyes are looking at a different angle and text on the top left is shown saying "gub gub" which is written in comic sans.
Gub Gub
Pink-ish background featuring a very abstract drawing of a person with grey shirt, trousers and a green jacket. The face and hair are filled in with a grey texture. The face has no features except for creepy smile showing its teeth.
Started experimenting with digital art after messing around with sketches on my notebook. Here's my first horrifying piece I created using Krita. It's just a vomit of colours and I'm all for it.
Cats are cute but when they yawn, they look so terrifying, I love it
Awesome! π
A Godot project which I worked on last year which involves simulating hundreds of rats! This project uses Godot's multi-mesh instancing feature (which basically allowed me to render all the rats in one draw call) and a custom shader to animate the rats.
A project I worked on last year, a raycaster written in Python & Numba for JIT compilation. It features different wall heights, floors and even sprite rendering! It also uses Pymunk for collisions (since I was too lazy to implement my own collision code π« ).
Hi! New to Bluesky! I like to code and draw stuff in my free time (whenever I feel like it at least π). Recently been more inclined towards web technologies (not AI!) so my newer posts will either be about that or art!
For now I'll just be re-uploading some of my older content on here π
