If the orange goblin wants to dismantle everything, let's follow suit and stop paying taxes, stop paying student loans, and stop giving the government any money, period. We pay into these systems with the hope that our contributions help the common good, but that's obviously not the case right now.

Cut, place, paint, and repeat. I'm busy piecing together new surfaces to paint, made with reclaimed crates from different countries and eras. These new works are in preparation for a show coming this May at the Preacher Gallery in Austin.

…dark news in the world. At the same time, it's important for me to be transparent and honest by saying, "Yes, I am completely heartbroken."

Social media is sad in that way because we're either putting up a delusional front of the status quo in our lives, or it's complete outrage every day. We have to find a middle ground! I truly believe that as artists, we should still be making work, sharing work, and breaking up all this…

The weight of the last few weeks is crushing. That's coming from a place of privilege on my part because I know very well that many other people in our country face much more terrifying challenges. This is not lost on me, and I am not immune to the emotional toll every news cycle brings...
