BREAKING: More than 100 Texas elected officials have endorsed our campaign for the US Senate.

I’m proud to have the trust and support of community leaders from every region in our state.

From El Paso to Beaumont, Texans are uniting to take on this broken political system.

@nerdy.dev is there a way to run VisBug without the browser extension? I know it’s just a custom element under the hood. Is there an npm package we could use? I ask because my work has locked down browser extensions and I’m missing it.

@taskmaster.tv my kids loved Junior Taskmaster and want to watch more, any chance the edited shows will make it to YouTube for your young international fans?

Does this count as insider trading? Market manipulation?

I feel like Apple should redesign their stocks app icon to a squiggly red line as long as Trump is in office.

Spotify is just as confused about what I want to listen to as I am.

I’m the Canadian who was detained by Ice for two weeks. It felt like I had been kidnapped I was stuck in a freezing cell without explanation despite eventually having lawyers and media attention. Yet, compared with others, I was lucky

This story is fucking bonkers

Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.

I definitely think that’s better than having a Promise subclass. I’m not going to lie I’ve been so far in React land for the last two years that having tuples feels natural to me now.

Send help.

An object or tuple would be preferable. Subclassing here feels too unintuitive. I’d much rather do

const [one, two] = someThing();

At the very least we are actively jumping the shark.

Unrelated but “bell end” is such an amazing insult that I’m supprised it never caught on in the US.

Agreed, not sacrilege but it is definitely an allusion. Your read on Christian theology was on point.

My gut instinct is to disagree with you but I’m willing to be convinced otherwise.

New from 404 Media: anyone can push updates to the Doge.gov site. Two sources independently found the issue, one made their own decision to deface the site. "THESE 'EXPERTS' LEFT THEIR DATABASE OPEN."

Abbott being the trust to ban DeepSeek on government devices is one of the rare times I’ve seen a headline about him and not been disgusted.

Took my youngest daughter to the park where she’s playing cops and robbers with some girls she just met. In classic childhood fashion they’re spending more time debating the rules than actually playing.

Now that I think about it this also describes every corporate job I’ve ever had.

I’m that way with most Thanksgiving food. Everything is mushy only uses salt and pepper for season. I haven’t had Thanksgiving food in a year and it still feels tired.

Obviously this is taking your point to the extreme, but that’s the vibe here. You and the other Ember maintainers have done a lot for the dev community but just because you’ve already done a lot doesn’t mean that novel approaches are suddenly invalid. Even if we have to reinvent a few wheels.

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Which definitely means we all should just cede future progress to the folks already deep in it?

Like what’s the argument here? We components suck because you haven’t written a framework around the to do exactly the things you want and think are important?

Isn’t that begging the question.

Like “why can’t pizza have artichoke on it?”

It totally can and you should do it because that could be awesome. Maybe I’ll do it someday when I’m in the mood to cook pizza.
