Just told the cat I love her more than she loves food but I think I lied.

Have found tumblr user probablyday's #woosterposting series. In shock
I'm reiterating what other Minnesotans are saying: no matter what the news is reporting, nothing has tangibly changed on the ground. ICE is still out patrolling the streets, they're still looking for people to abduct, and they're still threatening observers. Do not let up the pressure.
Good grief.
Guy attacking an elected official gets tackled. Regular people minding their own business get disappeared and observers get executed.
Like, I just accept that I flat don't know how to spell that word.
It would never occur to me to even try this.
I’m going to bust my Costco cherry today.
Watched Let the Right One In last week so of course I bought a Rubik’s cube.
The cheapest stuff is all I need
That 1978 solo album was one of the best KISS albums.
Article (Nolan Feeney; TIME) excerpt reads: “Black Messiah is a hell of a name for an album. It can be misunderstood. Many will think it's about religion. Some will jump to the conclusion that I'm calling myself a Black Messiah. For me, the title is about all of us. It's about the world. It's about an idea we can all aspire to. We should all aspire to be a Black Messiah. It's about people rising up in Ferguson and in Egypt and in Occupy Wall Street and in every place where a community has had enough and decides to make change happen, D'Angelo writes in a statement about the album It's not about praising one charismatic leader but celebrating thousands of them. Not every song on this album is politically charged (though many are), but calling this album Black Messiah creates a landscape there these songs can live to the fullest. Black Messiah is not one man. It's a feeling that, collectively, we are all that leader.” “D’Angelo’s First Album in 14 Years Is Finally Here, and It’s Surprisingly Timely” via TIME.
What D’Angelo said Black Messiah means. It came out at the end of 2014 and it was so needed.
but they didn't go. they pulled through, and for both of them, in different ways, that very longevity, the ability to celebrate a new sense of freedom, of (fractured) wholeness, of outliving the demons was what they came to stand for, as much as the original peace love & joy of the transistor era
part of what makes the one-two of sly and brian slipping away land so hard is that there was a very real sense in which they both could have gone in say 1986 and no one would have been very surprised or felt like there was a missing chapter. the classic work spoke for itself. rock takes its toll.
Photo of a can of St. Bernardus Watou wit ale from Belgium, with a lovely color illustration of a (presumably) Belgian train station with the sun setting (or rising) in the background.
It’s a nice beer.
A pint of medium-gold beer with “Nuevo Mundo” etched on the glass sits on a bar. The coaster underneath reads “Hecho en Peru.”
That, dear readers, is a Peruvian IPA called Beso de Judas. I’m not sure about international exchange rates but I guess S/ 20 is about = to 30 pieces of silver.
There’s something about being in a city with 10 million people that agrees with my brain.
This morning’s reading: “What to Do If You Miss Your Flight.” In the backseat of an Uber. On the way to the airport.
The volcano Misti rising in the instance above the city of Arequipa, Peru, with a bright morning sun shining in a clear blue sky.
Good morning *again*, Arequipa!
An image of Mount Misti, an active volcano near Arequipa, Peru, with a sign for Arequipa Airport in the foreground.
Good morning Arequipa!
Some (pretty lousy) photos of Chimango Lares and friends at the Gran Teatro Nacional in Lima tonight.
I wish the Ramones had covered “Paranoid.”
Who is the “we” that would be auctioning the sign?
It’s not an idea so you don’t have to figure it out.
