Kansas revoked 1,700 transgender drivers' licenses. Some are leaving the state. The state's move to retroactively cancel licenses and birth certificates is part of a nationwide escalation of restrictions on the legal recognition of transgender people.

This cruel Kansas law puts trans people at risk of harassment, discrimination, and even violence every time they have to show their driver’s licenses.

If this can happen to one of us, it can happen to all of us.
