I see what you’re saying. One has to already have a curiosity and basic reading comprehension skills to consume an academic text or a zine. Maybe making a left-wing “Prager U” would reach more people but there are few- if any -billionaires willing to fund truly revolutionary perspectives in media.

The obligations of capitalism make finding time to read very difficult. Especially if you have young children. But zines offer an accessible way to share new ideas. Especially with the prospect of Internet/Social Media being compromised by corporate ownership and state surveillance.

Here’s what Liberals fail to acknowledge about America:

If confirmed, this list is wild. Basic words like “Black”, “women”, “Native American”, “belong”, “political”, etc. are all flagged. This fragile, fascist administration wants to pretend like white America is perfect, has nothing to apologize for, and that minorities are the real problem. 1/2

All of this seemingly illogical right-wing doublespeak about “freedom” and “liberty” makes a lot more sense when you realize that the notion of “freedom” that the USA was built upon has always been more concerned with the freedom to enslave other people rather than the freedom from being enslaved.
