Trump inauguration was a starter pistol for an annexation push on the northern West Bank.
As one colleague there put it: "Now that there is a suspension in Israel's war on Palestinians in Gaza, it feels like the Israeli military is starting a war on us in the West Bank."

Our statement on the ceasefire deal: "While we hope this temporary pause will alleviate some of the suffering the Israeli military has inflicted on Gaza, it marks the beginning, not the end, of efforts to restore health, dignity and freedom to the Palestinian people." www.map.org.uk/news/archive...
Ceasefire comes into effect on Sunday. Colleagues in Gaza are very worried about what comes next, experience shows Israel always escalates its destruction in terrifying ways before a ceasefire deadline.
Today @medicalaidpal.bsky.social called for the immediate release of all arbitrarily detained Gaza medical staff, as the illegal detention of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya continued into its second week with no news of his whereabouts. www.map.org.uk/news/archive...
It's no accident that this disgusting and dangerous opinion is being given space in the WSJ at the same time as Trump is talking about taking over Greenland. Annexation is having another moment. We are being encouraged to accept Might is Right for this new era.
I've never looked ahead to a new year with such dread. The media is barely paying attention to what is going on in Gaza, politicians have almost given up pretending to even care. We're going to have to dig really deep to end this.
Our leaders must demand the immediate and safe release of Dr Hussam Abu Safiya and all detained Gaza health workers.
Health workers are not a target, and impunity for Israel's destruction of Palestinian healthcare must end.
Please share.
Free Dr Hussam Abu Safiya!
Has any Western government yet said anything about Israel's manifestly illegal destruction of Kamal Adwan Hospital?
The grim predictability of Israel waiting for the holidays to escalate its attacks on Kamal Adwan Hospital. When Western media and governments are distracted. We all knew this would happen, but nobody with power did anything to stop it.
There must be consequences.
BREAKING: 5 staff killed during Israeli targeting of Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Those killed:
• Dr. Ahmed Samour (pediatrician)
• Israa Abu Zaida (laboratory specialist)
• Abdul Majeed Abu Al-Aish (paramedic)
• Maher Al-Ajrami (paramedic).
• Fares Al-Hudali (maintenance specialist).
Literally already happening among some in the UK's ruling party
"As areas are emptied of Palestinians, Israeli forces have demolished entire neighborhoods, established military fortifications and built new roads, according to a Washington Post analysis of high-resolution satellite images."

Can you show that it was? I'm not supporting people killing children en masse, the burden of proof isn't with me.
Israel's relentless brutality against Kamal Adwan Hospital continues unabated.

"It’s very clear to me that the children I witnessed yesterday are not members of any militant organisation, these are young children who are trying to escape war by sheltering in a UN school. Yet they were massacred, I’ve got no other way to describe it."

For all those who’ve said since 8 October that we’re being “sensationalist”.
Soon! Just a matter of capacity (our digital team is one very talented person!) but we're hoping to start posting in the new year.

Amnesty International’s new landmark report concludes that Israeli authorities have committed – and still are committing - genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip.

Deserving of more coverage: “I think that has been grossly exaggerated, but we need to be able to demonstrate very clearly what the level of military presence was, if at all, in these hospitals because I think we’ve been misled about that in the press.”

Israeli forces have issued new 'evacuation' orders vs areas of Al Remal and Sabra neighborhoods in Gaza City, encompassing the Patients' Friends Benevolent Society and Public Aid hospitals.
Israel continues to chase Palestinians around its Gaza death map like a sick boardgame.
My reply to the BBC's unsatisfactory reply back to the complaint about it's erasure & deliberate omission of Jasleen Kaur's personal conviction in solidarity with Palestinians, & very public statements against ongoing genocide in Gaza.
& why ignore questions on Melanie Phillips?
A political split-screen that will come to define an era of hypocrisy and moral cowardice.
“Be outspoken, leave your mark and stand up for your people. Stand up for Palestine, and stand up for oppressed people around the world.”
A colleague in Gaza, this morning: "Israel makes us wish we could die the way it killed us yesterday because it was faster and less painful."

“There are no journalists in Gaza.”
Palestinian journalists deserve our respect, solidarity & love, not erasure (even if unintentional) from Foreign Secretary DavidLammy.
Killed, maimed, denied their trade, working with execution targets on their backs to show the horrors of Israeli genocide.
