Glad to hear. I’m hanging in there! Joy is resistance.

Sorry to hear - that sounds rough. Maybe you can escape to the UK? I haven’t been on this platform for ages but I hope you’re doing ok x

Hi all, how is everyone? I admit I had almost forgotten about this platform, but was looking for some sanity amidst all the insane bullshit infecting our planet. So here I am again, with a few space pics taken over the past few months with Dwarflab telescopes. Hope you’re all doing ok.
I clearly don’t use this app as much as I could… but here’s a nice photo of the Andromeda Galaxy I took from a garden in southern England last weekend that I thought would be worth sharing… #astrophotography #andromeda #dwarflab #dwarf3 #andromedagalaxy #m31
The Eagle Nebula aka M16, captured with a Dwarflab Dwarf 3 telescope.
A 4.5-hour exposure of the beautiful Eagle Nebula aka M16 from here in Washington State. The Pillars of Creation are nicely visible at the centre. #astrophotography #dwarflab #dwarf3 #eaglenebula #pillarsofcreation
This is a phenomenal build. Stuff like this brings me joy. And we all need joy right now, no matter how little. You might like this, @grahambower.bsky.social

I've followed your contributions with the RLM crew for many years, and I often go back and listen to the Pre-Rec gaming streams...I've always loved your positive energy. Sorry you've been going through the storms, but I like to think our best days still may lay ahead, for all of us.
So much fun! Thanks for organising it! ☺️
The Moon
The North American Nebula#
A couple of pics from an all-nighter in Milton Keynes with friends. It was fun to stay up and watch the sun rise…and I was happy to get a decent set of subs from a 3hr shoot of the North American Nebula! #dwarflab #astrophotography #northamericannebula #dwarf3
I was hankering to do something silly with Photoshop (it's been a while).
This is the result. My answer to the question nobody asked: "What if Cocaine Bear inspired a bunch of spin-off films?"
The Moon, about 50% waxing gibbous.
Mars, with a red/orange hue, looking like a bright shining star with smaller stars in the background.
Despite a raging cold, I just had to head out briefly last night and photograph the Moon, and also…Mars.
😢
The Horsehead Nebula aka Barnard 33, taken with a Dwarflab Dwarf 3 from SW London.
A fortuitous clear sky on the weekend, combined with temperatures above freezing for a change, meant I was happy to head out and grab a photo of the Horsehead Nebula. Not quite the clarity I would have wanted, but I'll take what I can get!
Looks interesting! Thanks for the heads-up!
I was on board until the bacon showed up. I admit I’ve never understood the USA’s willingness to cross the sweet & savoury streams. 🤔
@apriletmanski.bsky.social I'm sure I heard on one of your podcasts that you were into the Power Rangers?

Thanks so much! P.S. Can you message me your address? I wanted to send you something.
Yaaas! You know the next step is to buy a telescope for astrophotography, right? ;-)
The Great Orion Nebula aka M42
A few nights ago there was a rare clear sky, so I braved the cold and managed to photograph the Orion Nebula with my Seestar S50. This may be my last Orion pic for a while so I wanted it to be reasonable quality.
Because it's an expert at finger-pointing and deflecting the attention away from itself and its cronies.
Side note: I can't identify with identifying it with a great film...personally I like to call it Felon47. 😉
So many great cinematic memories at the PCC... If it gets turned into yet another 'upmarket' wine bar or gaudy souvenir outlet, I'll hurl myself into the sun.
Last night I made a Halloween-themed dessert that's impossible to throw away. I call it the boo-meringue.
I'll see myself out.
Wendy and I visited the cafe at The British Museum, and our tray replicated our cake lust accurately.
I managed to brave the freezing temperatures the other night and take a photograph of The Rosette Nebula. It's nice that the wider sensor on the DwarfLab Dwarf 3 is able to capture the whole thing without cropping. I didn't get as much integration time as I would have liked, but I'm ok with it ^_^
Brill for only 30 mins 👍
The Great Orion Nebula.
The UK weather is still arse garbage, but I managed to find a very brief gap in the clouds last week to try out my new DwarfLab #dwarf3 and photograph the #orionnebula. It was super windy but luckily, #pixinsight managed to clean up (only) 30mins of data fairly well.
Love it! Sadly I’ve had little opportunity to use it since the weather has been so arse here in southern England. The app is still a bit fiddly, but you can get some great results with enough tinkering. As with everything, post-processing really helps enhance the data (PixInsight in my case). :-)
The North American Nebula, showing stars and colourful interstellar dust-particles and ionised-hydrogen gas.
The weather has been terrible for astrophotography lately...but last week there was a gap in the clouds long enough for me to get a half-decent pic of the North American Nebula aka NGC7000, with the DwarfLab Dwarf 3 smart telescope #dwarflab #northamericannebula #ngc7000 #dwarf3 #astrophotography
