My parents gardened their whole lives, before it was cool. They grew out of necessity and to preserve memory and culture. One day, hopefully, Americans will catch up to ancestral knowledge held so deep. The unfixed Van Dyke changes with time, the silver stays the same.
Here are a few circuits made with components from the factories where my parents worked. My family and many other refugee, immigrant, brown, and black families built what is now Silicon Valley and the technological economic powerhouse of the US.

I joined my university lecturer union recently. It's not perfect, but organized labor is going to be an important bulwark against exploitative practices.
Don't have a union? Get inspired by many workers who have unionized recently, from Starbucks to Amazon to the Art Institute of Chicago.
I'm trying to teach through methods of collaboration and mutual care, but they are so ingrained to be motivated through competition. It is difficult to unlearn as undergrads.
