I once temped at CNET and it was a great experience and I am not surprised

Got home about 20 minutes ago and our heat came on?! I mean, it makes sense, but...
…but why?
Hell I once almost missed a flight from Newark to Helsinki and who knows when I would’ve been able to get on the next one
I wore this shirt today to my annual exam and my very sweet OBGYN asked if it was Batman and Robin

Thank you @effinbirds.com
A friend who got deeply into Heated Rivalry tried to get me to join Threads to enjoy the HR fandom there and after I heard stuff like this, I was like, no thanks... I'll just look at the screenshots I see elsewhere...
The major staging change is that the missionaries walk through and literally push aside the Ugandans as they sing a new verse. It's pretty great!
I LOVE the reopening rewrites of I Am Africa, and they should have stuck with that level of skewer with all the other rewrites
As I suspected. The only way to get a good pic of the moon with your iPhone is to leave earth, travel 252K miles, turn around, zoom in and mess with the focus.
A few of the current Broadway cast actually came from that tour, which I don't think is super common
Yeah, they reopened the tour after covid as non-Equity. So I haven't seen the tour since!
How are these non-Equity kids doing?
It's so annoying when the podcast guest's sound is so much softer than the host's — even when the guest is more soft-spoken, I shouldn't have to adjust my volume whenever the two people switch off. I don't know audio, but I know this is preventable!
A liberal boomer lady (NY resident for years; NJ native) I befriended a decade ago through Jersey Boys fell onto the Cuomo/Seth Rudetsky propaganda train and was posting fearful anti-Mamdani stuff for months last year. Today she shared the photos of him with Obama and the kids. It's... working...?
the thing about our current moment is that yes, the anti-AI and anti-big tech people are getting very reactive nowadays - but have you seen what they’re *reacting* to?
Good stuff
[Isaac Hayes voice] "Daaaaamn right."
Well of course the small people were ahead of me and tried to get the duo to learn a new song!

The cis reaction Caitlyn Jenner stuff is like if every time a Kash Patel was in the news, the reaction online was mostly people calling him racial slurs and mocking his name for being Indian.
If you want to know if someone is transphobic, watch how they talk about trans people they don't like.
god forbid people have hobbies
The way she's pursing her lips to stop from laughing is simply delightful.
Orinda? Might smell like exhaust and flowers. Civic Center? Exercise caution
I visited my cousin there a couple of years ago and took the train to the zoo. So easy!
Yeah, I fly into SFO and BART to the east bay is pretty smooth. But at least my parents live within a 10-minute drive from a station
I’m from the Bay Area and have lived in NYC for 15 years. I enjoy how wide and new the BART trains and stations are (and less variety of smells), but it’s nice to be here and not need to time departing an event so you don’t miss the last BART train.
Come back any time!
This isn't a feel-good story. I don't have to like Caitlyn Jenner's views, but I support her desire to travel just as I would for any other trans person wishing to do so. Perhaps this will help radicalize her on how she was wrong though. I hope she will understand & lend her voice now.
this is a great example of a business reacting to political/corporate shifts as though they are populist shifts. they did correctly read the signs of a nationwide rollback on LGBTQ rights! they just failed to account for how many people are FUCKING FURIOUS about that and will fight you over it
Zohran Mamdani has ordered the woke New York Mets to lose to the Chicago Cubs for the benefit of far-left Mayor Brandon Johnson, and the Mets have agreed to do it
