Do Large Language Models know Which Published Articles have been Retracted? Large Language Models (LLMs) can be helpful for literature search and summarisation, but retracted articles can confuse them. This article asks three open weights (offline) LLMs whether 161 high profi...

New study: "In over 80% of cases the [tested] #LLMs claimed that a retracted article had not been retracted…LLMs have little ability to distinguish between valid and retracted studies, unless they are allowed to, and do, check online."

The Mets fans seem too upset. It's April. I'm concerned as the winning away team.

Does anyone know how to recover an old folder in New Ebsco™? A patron has a search strategy (from 2022) that they're trying to capture for a manuscript. It was saved in Old Ebsco™. Platform update happened, poof it's gone.

I have a vague memory of #medlibs discussing this??

I loved this book. I found myself going to the internet to try to learn more about the history of women's basketball and glean more about each woman mentioned. There is not a lot out there on some of these incredible women which is why this book is so important. The authors did the research, and I'm grateful. Kudos to the authors. Reading this book made me want to host a Wikipedia edit-a-thon to get more exposure to the accomplishments of these women.
I'm glad I have a print copy because the photos are an important part of the book. This book is a great coffee table book/discussion piece. My spouse and kids gave me this book for my birthday. I recommend giving it as a gift for the women's basketball fans in your life.

Intense game
Brutal officiating
Will Ant/Jokic weird scuffle bleed into next game?
Why is the NBA cool with all the flopping? It's hideous

Noon bingo with my college GFs followed by a kid-free afternoon watching Twins, Gopher Gymnastics, Wolves, Wild (Bill Guerin 👎) on TV while drifting in and out of sports naps
