Online art talks: Timelines, week 1 The first of two talks on Zoom presenting a chronology of 15th and 16th century art, first in the North and then in Italy.

I am doing two talks on Zoom on Renaissance art, as fundraisers for the bookshop - we're a bit behind with finances! They will be recorded, so you don't have to be able to watch live. Accessible, fun, gorgeous art, supporting the bookshop, can't go wrong!

I have been sucked into Star Trek Legends. It is on apple arcade but also for console. It's not flash but it is old school were you collect characters from all the different series. Easy to mindlessly play on the phone. There is also a new Voyager game but I haven't played it yet.

My great grandmother’s can opener is still going strong in our house. Meanwhile newer ones over the years just keep breaking. The plastic just isn’t as durable as the solid metal one from probably the 50s.

I’ve been thinking about archives as something active rather than fixed.

Not a place where the past is stored, but where it is filtered, ranked, and reshaped. What we remember often arrives already edited.

‘The Archive Dreams Us’ moves through that idea in fragments.
