the proliferation of AI at work is stretching my "soft" skills to the limit. Struggling to politely tell a peer: "You did this so fucking wrong. You did this so wrong it's not even done in the right repo. We sat down for 45 minutes and I explained the design docs, how did you get it so wrong?"

np np. You can also just crank the time way later and it will provide the same prompt. I didn’t realize how invisible this feature was until I was trying to remember how I do it.

I use the “Bedtime” function, and if I toggle the alarm off, and then hit “Done” it asks if I want to turn it off just tomorrow or forever

Today, a lot of people will be talking about the manifesto that Palantir released. In addition to pouring over what those words mean, I invite you to ground the conversation in what Palantir has already done.

Its work with Israel and ICE show us exactly what it stands for.

It’s inaccurate to say Mario is brave and Luigi is cowardly

Luigi is afraid of death, so he runs away from danger. Mario is afraid of living, so he runs towards death. Both brothers are cowards in their own way

A weird thing is that whenever I post criticism of Al, the majority of the people agreeing with me seem to be leftists. It's pretty much the only position I hold that seems to be more popular with the left than the right. It should be the opposite. My whole point about Al (especially Al in creative fields) is that it isn't human, it doesn't have a soul, and we cannot surrender our society to an unhuman soulless algorithm even if it makes our lives easier in some ways. It's very strange that an argument predicated on the existence of the soul resonates with the left while conservatives tend to scoff at it.
