This was a fun conversation about a topic that I hadn't really considered too deeply until November of last year. I hope that you all enjoy this conversation as much as I did having it.

I kind of love the fact that I now have a reputation as the Babylon 5 Whisperer. Had a great time guesting on The Best Stuff in the World podcast talking about the greatest American sci-fi series.
I have always loved this movie. Even though it was made in 1951 the messaging, performances, and effects hold up and feel authentic to this day. It was a complete joy to watch with others who got as enthusiastic as I did. Check this one out and let me know what you think.

but it also shows mankind braving those dangers and even dangers and problems at home. Sometimes people don't get together. Sometimes people die. Yet, still humanity endures. People endure. They continue to explore. That's some awesome and inspirational stuff.

For All Mankind is one of the most inspirational shows that I've ever seen. But unlike most inspirational shows it isn't a relentless barrage of feel good stories and everything turning out ok in the end. Space is dangerous and the show shows that,
Invincible is the best written superhero TV series (animated or live action) of all time. The characters feel like how people would act if they had powers. The fights are amazing. The plots are interesting and keep you engaged. Come listen to some friends and I as we talk about this show.
Having watched so much TV over the years, I am always saddened by the great shows with such amazing potential that were cancelled far too soon. It was great talking with some others who felt the same way.
For years I wouldn't watch this movie, because I thought that it would just be a screed about the glories of the Confederacy. The reality was far more nuanced than I could have imagined. This was a neat panel, because we talked about this amazing film warts and all.
One Piece is bar none the greatest anime/manga to live action adaptation. There have been some other good ones, but this one is fantastic. They somehow figured out how to tell the story in less time, but still leave everything important intact. I highly recommend it.
Even though I love all of Star Trek, DS9 has always been my favorite Trek. It was a great experience to talk with a lot of people that I respect to discuss the finer points of this series and what made it so special.
I remember the Muppet Show from when I was really, really young. It must have been on second run some time in the early 80's, because I was 2 or 3 when it went off the air. I have *always* been entertained by these characters and love whenever they get a new iteration.
We've been waiting decades for an MCU version of the Fantastic Four, so did it live up to the hype? Check out the episode to find out.
It was so surreal that someone insisted to me that men and women see Gargoyles differently, but never explained how. They said that their podcast would explain, but their show ended before they ever released their Gargoyles episodes. Now, I'm seeing if this is true.
As much as I thought that Discovery never stuck the landing on ending the seasons, I loved the characters and was sorry to see it go. Had a lovely discussion talking about the finer points of the final season and looking forward to seeing some of the characters in Starfleet Academy.
Blake's 7 is one of those unsung gems that's a really gripping TV series. It was such a privilege to interview Jan and Brian and talk to them about their time in the series.
Everyone, The 42cast was cited in this article about X-Men: The Animated Series! www.slashfilm.com/2047553/why-... #xmen
There are a lot of opinions being dropped about the MCU these days. In this episode we really dive deep into the last few years of stories and talk about what we see as the trends, what we think are missed opportunities, and what we expect and what we hope for in Phase Six.
If you're following me I'd really appreciate if you would also follow my show, @42cast.bsky.social
I really love the Daredevil film and have ever since I first saw it. It's one of the few times that I've watched a movie three times in the theater. People hate on it a lot, but it's a story about hope after going through dark times with some fantastic performances. It was great talking about it.
I participated in a table read for the unproduced season finale of the Babylon 5 spinoff, Crusade. Go check it out! babylon5review.podbean.com/e/crusade-12... #Babylon5 #Crusade #Scifi
I can't say enough good stuff about Gargoyles. This show took animation to the next level with nuanced characters and storylines with subtle arcs that interwove all the world's folklore into a single narrative. I highly recommend checking it out and then listening to our episode on it.
When I saw how poorly Marvel was promoting Ironheart, I thought it was because they must have thought that it was awful. Imagine my surprise when I watched it and really appreciated the thought-provoking journey that it took us through. If you haven't watched check it out and then listen to us talk.
I didn’t get one last year, so I made sure that was rectified this year.

It feels like it's becoming common practice to slag off the original Doctor Who series as sexist, but how does it really stack up both against other shows of the time or against the new series? It's a serious topic, but as Doctor Who fans we thought it was well worth discussing.
Spartacus is one of those movies that everyone should watch at least once. We pulled together a panel of people that had seen the film several times before and two people who had never seen it at all. Give it a listen as we discuss why this movie is still talked about.

I've never played the Fallout games, but this show immediately hooked me with the overall tone & the retro-futuristic vibe. It's offbeat & funny while looking absolutely amazing and also being a bit disturbing and exciting. Love it and can't wait for S2. Have some fun and listen to us discuss.
