Short walk near Crathorne this afternoon in sunshine. A mix of woodland and farmland. Grey Wagtail x2, Blackcap x2, Yellowhammer x2, Marsh Tit x2, Skylark x7 and Chiffchaff x8. Speckled Wood and Peacock plus lots of flowers.

Found some ‘treasure’ on the beach between Marske and Saltburn this morning. Brown Crab shell and Common Whelk egg cases. A few Sand Martin heading west and Linnet, Meadow Pipit and Skylark. Very little on the sea. @teesbirds.bsky.social

Rainbow over Nosterfield this morning. Bar-tailed and Black-tailed Godwit, Ruff and Green Woodpecker (heard). Couldn’t locate the Smew on Lingham Lake but Great White Egret there. @northyorksbirds.bsky.social

It’s on the cliff top. See the yellowish field in my photo on the left. If you go west along the Cleveland Way from Skinningrove you will reach the obvious rough grassland field on the left.
