I found it interesting to learn that they're Christian, but I can hear the Christian rock inspiration now. Not that it affects the songs at all, but I can tell their taste was probably somewhat developed by evangelists. You might know the kind of sound, it's hard to describe

I liked most of the songs, but only one or two really grabbed me. Kryptonite is still a crazy good premise for a song but I didn't love it as much as I was expecting. Especially towards the end it even got into butt rock territory where I totally zoned out

I think it's understated just how different the movie is for non-gamers. You could say it's shallow but all the references bring us a lot of joy and do add value to the movie. Critics didn't get that side of it and that's why it got such horrific scores
