Maybe that's a disservice to CEOs. I'm sure they also attend meetings at which no one is eating lunch.

re: companies going all in on AI, I keep thinking about my husband's theory that these CEOs do 2 things at work: write emails & go to lunch. And they think AI will get rid of the emails part of their job.

You either die young or you live long enough to see the person who took over a previous position email a listserv to complain about a workflow you passed on to them.

We did not account for painting the ceiling dark to stop it reflecting in the glass of our photo table & generally keeping light from bouncing around. Had to go back & do it after the room was set up & the fancy equipment installed.

We've been dealing with lots of bot traffic as well, but nothing that seems to be political. Fwiw, my dev colleague suggests asking the code4lib slack

God grant me the strength to not be made angry by men being condescending to me because I had the audacity to ask for help in a video digitization forum while not being an expert in video digitization

Have decided that to fight back against The Despair I'm going to try growing herbs & vegetables in my tiny urban backyard (for real this time). If you've got any watering solutions that don't involve me getting eaten by 300 mosquitoes every day, let me know!
