To anyone who needs to hear it: I'm glad you're here.
The world is objectively better with you in it.

An excellent start to Lesbian Visibility Week.
Looking for some cover work if anybody needs em!
Fuzzy wet dog is *very* fuzzy, apparently...
Lou Zocchi with his ventriloquism dummy, Woody.
The legendary game designer, distributor, and publisher Louis Zocchi has left us at the age of 91. He founded Zocchi Distribution (the first distributor dedicated exclusively to hobby games) and Gamescience (which made games and polyhedral dice).
...perhaps I should comment on the recent news of over 80,000 visits in a month to the website that provided instructions and videos on how to drug and abuse one's girlfriend, wife...

Save your tears
for the day
when our pain is far behind
on your feet
come with me
we are soldiers stand or die
Save your fears
take your place
save them for the judgement day
fast and free
follow me
time to make the sacrifice
we rise or fall 🎶

As wealth concentrates, so does power — the power to influence elections, shape policy, tilt markets and define the terms of public debate.
Taxing billionaires is not radical.
What is radical is allowing a system where extreme wealth exists alongside widespread hardship.
I am still incredibly proud of this line.
i really wish "children are people and people are not property" was not a radical opinion but unfortunately it's the central question up for debate with much of politics

I didn’t know this, did you? Amazing!
Again, if you have a Substack, the best time to switch away was months ago -- but today's the second best time.

Rochester, NY, lost two queer bars in a single year. But the community isn't done gathering. New piece on what's closing, what's opening, and what it means to hold space when the world keeps trying to take it.

Post from Dale Partridge claiming nobody wants to live in diverse neighborhoods
I quite happily live in a neighborhood where most people do not share my religion, where multiple languages are represented, and where people have come from a lot of different countries.
Bigoted assholes always assume everyone else actually shares their bigotries.
To the people claiming space travel & solving issues on earth are mutually exclusive:
We can do both. We cand fund science, space travel, etc. AND programs to improve the quality & sustainability of life here on earth.
And pretending otherwise isn't clever or enlightened, it's luddite nonsense.
A selection of Savage Worlds books (there are more in boxes above), including the limited edition core book from the SWADE kickstarter.
Savage Worlds! Fast! Furious! Fun! I've had SW in my collection for *ages* - the older editions have been let go only because of shelf space - and it's always been a nice balance between sufficient crunch, with ease of use. A good general purpose choice for pulpy action.

Dungeons and Dragons! All sorts of it, from the Very Beginnings, on up to 5th edition. The shelf below has *more* Dungeons & Dragons of various flavors.
TSR's Magnum Opus - Dungeons & Dragons. I won't say that a collection isn't complete without at least a little D&D, but... It's the mack granddaddy of them all, started the whole shebang. Break out the D20s, and toss a fireball. what can it hurt?!

A Passel of Evil Hat! This is most of the Fate line that's in physical print, including several licensed games (Atomic Robo! Dresden Files!). On the left, a copy of Advanced Lovers & Lesbians peers in to see what's up, and if there's someone to flirt with, stab, or possibly both? (Yes, I have nearly an entire shelf of Evil Hat publications. What of it? :-D )
FATE! Fate is possibly my favorite low-complexity game - it's a great choice when you want to involve people who aren't necessarily gamers, or don't want something complicated. I got started with a friend's one-shots, and, of course, Atomic Robo.

A bunch of Runequest and Chaosium games based on BRP (Basic Role-Playing) - Elfquest, Elric/Stormbringer, and the BRP core book. To the Right, a handful of Green Ronin Games - True20 and Blue Rose - sneak in to the photo...
#2 - Runequest - Chaosium was one of the first on the scene after TSR started things. The BRP system has withstood the decades - and the world of Glorantha has been expanded into a breathing place that could easily be real - if, y'know, Chaos & magic & whatnot.

A shelf full of RPG books - in this case, R. Talsorian games, including Cyberpunk, Cybergeneration, Mekton, Teenagers from Outer Space, and several licensed anime titles (Bubblegum Crisis!). on the left side, a copy of Lancer sneaks it's way in...
#1 - R. Talsorian Games - Specifically, Cyberpunk, but their games in general. Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk was almost as influential as it was influenced by the Cyberpunk movement - and has stood the test of time, as CP Red proved 5 years ago. Sandevistan up, Gatas!
