A metaphor.

I survived all the snakes, but a butterfly killed me.

Don't put your happiness in other people's hands.
They'll drop it.

They'll drop it every time.

All the feelings… all the love… all the need… all the yearning. It is a human thing. You are not alone in wanting, needing and deserving it.

"You were in my dreams last night" yeah our souls have been clawing through our chests to get to each other since we met but I'm glad you noticed.

Someone told me the other day that when they feel nervous about trying something new & their heart starts beating really fast, that they call it their "inner applause" because their body is cheering them on, and i think that's the best narrative adjustment ever.
