It’ll be in November

Knowing how many people and their families are lined up to watch the most miserable, experimental, "fuck it we ball" episode in the series is going to be interesting.

Fox in this movie reminded me greatly of your take on his character from Star Fox Adventures; pretty cool!

All three games had hallway level design so there wasn't really a decline there, but you can see their technical ability improve across each game, from 1's dark dingy areas with an almost top down perspective to how III's zoomed out camera makes you feel like a small part of a vast universe.

This 100% reads as "Miyamoto is the producer and so he'll use this as an excuse to put any of his blorbos in that can't carry a film on their own"

3's scope is mania from a plot standpoint but incredible from a gameplay standpoint because so much happens and you see so many gorgeous looking places. The fixed cameras go mega hard.

Zelda is by a different studio and so is Pokemon. This feels more like Miyamoto is the producer and wants to include his blorbos in the film that can't carry blockbusters on their own yet

I think they're leaning into it being way more insane than the first movie, which had the typical origin story start for the first 15 minutes before Mario landed in the Mushroom Kingdom. This one is gonna be insane setpiece after insane setpiece and be messy but very well made all around.

People are angry because they revealed a character from a different series that will probably be exactly as relevant to the core of the film as David Hasselhoff in the SpongeBob Movie

Stop supporting a movie that looks incredibly well-made on a technical level and we still have ZERO idea whether or not it'll be better than the first?

Have you played Xenosaga yet?

Overambitious sure but also wildly ahead of its time as a space-opera RPG trilogy that ended right when Mass Effect began

you straight up cannot beat pokemon presents for the ratio of fake to real announcements. miyamoto keeps trying as he makes more movies but "fake gb carts that play one pokemon ost cut at a time" and "pokemon sleep has new missions" just proves you cannot dethrone the true goat

Starters are only truly worthy of judging when the Final Evolutions get shown; we know this

(and also we know that Nintendo games never drop in price)

Think people can be real jackasses about shit like this in assuming bad faith with "THE WEST IS RUINING OUR BELOVED PURE NIPPON" mindsets?

They collaborated extensively with then Japan Studio on trying to fully realize concept art ideas. It didn't always work but they shouldn't be chided for it.

It's a shame Bluepoint's actual best skill (technical process and optimization) would've been wasted away like Rocksteady's on Suicide Squad.

Remakes will keep coming out but many run poorly (ex. MGS3 Delta), meanwhile Bluepoint had a great in-house engine set to be thrown to the flames forever.🙁

Majority of the artistic changes in the SotC remake were "Old Man Yells At Cloud" pedantic shit that didn't affect the mood at large. Reading behind the scenes the Demon's Souls one is more "we interpreted the concept art as literal as possible," not that they hated the original art or Japan at all.

This was 100% a case of basing off of the concept art more than the game model, not some idea that they secretly hated Japan by "Thing Japan"-ass weebs

The changes here are present, but also still close enough spiritually to not feel like the meaning is being lost. It helps that unlike Demon’s Souls the actual character construction was kept unchanged.

I don’t think anyone is being lost of the experience playing the smoother remake first overall.

They had an impressive talent for fidelity and fluidity in a time where every other big AAA game is unable to hold a steady FPS at launch and any work in their in-house engine is kaput now.

I feel bad for the engineers put in a place none of that matters bc the core GAAS principle undermines it.

The framerate was also very impressive compared to how poorly the original held itself so it’s undeniably the less stuttered game. It helps that the game is very minimalist so most of the changes don’t feel AS stylistically excessive as the other ones.

SotC is a bit more interpretive and most of its changes are more to personal taste and don’t ruin the experience, very “Old Man Yells at Cloud”

This feels more like a “Rocksteady on Suicide Squad” issue of completely misreading their actual talent (impressive optimization) for a sinking ship.

a cartoon of anna and kristoff saying " it 's true love ! " ALT: a cartoon of anna and kristoff saying " it 's true love ! "

I think Kristen Bell hits a good balance of “name normal movie people easily recognize on the poster” and “celebrity with experience voice acting multiple times over”, hell it’s her most famous role as Anna from Frozen.

I like Kimiko but she isn’t a household name as easily for people. This is Amy:

That’s something I credit Machine Games for specifically not normal washed BGS

That literally decides the game that’s not ticky-tacky and saying it is is blaming the wrong thing

Bills deserve the L for all of the turnovers though.
