condo reform can't come fast enough
Not an expert, but on quick review, likely not for two reasons: (1) not a property tax, and (2) already passed with over two thirds
Because good lord that 234 transfer could use a touch-up
Request for clarification: you mean the Van Nuys, the G Line station which will interchange with the Sepulveda Line, and not Sepulveda, the G Line station, right?
it must rule to be my friend. playing overwatch at 1am when i drop into the voice call, drunk and ranting about how the best report that there will ever be about this horrifying extortion was written by mental five year olds
Home "cities" and half of them aren't cities
Dare I say we already exactly knew this but it's nice to have it formally confirmed
I'll have to go track the name down, but I'm nearly certain it was contractor-side, because the whole conversation surely would've come from me saying something to the effect of 'we should have no mercy for contractors, they cannot be allowed in polite society'
oh my god even writing 'Ibid.' like it's an acronym. this is such pure and perfect boomerslop prose
Contractor, iirc.
literally straight from the fred rosen style guide
Employees would sometimes hide rotting fish in the coiling of his office out of spite.
Anyways, the story ends - "he eventually had to split town and I think he's working in LA now!" We looked him up after the story and he's one of the heads on the APM project ๐คฆ
Separate train of thought - my aunt works front office stuff for construction in Edmonton. A couple Christmases ago, she was telling us about an awful boss she'd had a couple firms ago. Real liar, scammer, greedy asshole, nobody working with him at the firm could even stand him.

Chandler may not be all it could be, but as a sometimes-user this will mean a lot to me. Something that frequently discourages me from riding Chandler (when I'd otherwise want to) is the super-tight door-zone lane. More realistically, it's a mirror-zone lane -
Still no word on those 5-minute frequencies?
My notes:
- Will G Line Improvements really be open that fast?
- My sense was that there were a couple more small LADOT projects in the works around the city, don't remember them all though.
- Would you count sbX Purple?
@metrolosangeles.bsky.social when signs are getting changed for the D Line opening, will this be addressed too?
Still living in a world where individual CMs have that authority ๐
Earlier this week, my mom got lost and missed her bus when her phone was telling her to take the G Line. Even though Metro changed from line colors to letters 6 years ago, all the signs at North Hollywood still call it the Orange Line so she had no idea where to go!
Nazarian voting yes on C2 wasn't what I expected at all!
is that not a first amendment case
never mind!
all sorts of excitement on my cross-valley quest to collect library stamps
oh my god are they gonna drop it monday morning to minimize impact
(conspiracy theory thinking that i prefer to stay away from, but nothing seems off the table with mayor bass nowadays)
