From the looks of it I’m not sure this guy is the type of person that cares about not being ableist tbh.

I think you might be missing context. The right is claiming that EM’s autism is to blame for what he did, hence the joke George made. Tbf, I think it would be more appropriate to be mad about the right claiming autism makes you a Nazi than the joke here.

93: Grammar

Photo Description:
Panel 1: In the middle of a diagonal frost covered dirt path surrounded by lifeless sunflowers on either side are a cockatiel named Lemon, a Black swan named Licorice, and a great grey owl named Bagel. There are a couple of fallen sunflowers on the ground being covered by snow and ice. The sky is dark blue with shimmering stars and light snowfall.
Lemon begins, "I wish folks would stop insulting my non perfect grammar. I'm bilingual. Tweet! Hoot!"

Panel 2: Licorice replies, "Oh chile, or my African-American Vernacular English. It isn't improper or internet slang."

Panel 3: Bagel adds, "I'm dyslexic. Sometimes I literally can't sbell correctly."

Panel 4: Lemon finishes, "It can definitely be ableist, racist, and even classist. Let's appreciate the diversity in our communication instead!"
There are hearts above Licorice and Bagel.

Reminder that AAVE isn't "internet slang" or "queer slang". They're words that whyte folks have stolen as their own. It's isn't for folks that look like me. Example in the comic is for example purposes only, and I had consultations about using the example to make sure this was appropriate.

Before even seeing this had happened as I went offline for my own sanity for a bit, I was complaining about my AuADHD pattern recognition in therapy today…
