I kid, but yeah. When I was working in Globalstar, I learned about the power profile that turned off the radios to conserve power and save heating over open ocean, and how that related to the ability to do SCADA on remotely-located things on Earth.
Ugh, Verizon! 🙄

There are almost innumerable things I could have included in this graph, and maybe I'll make a version with many of them, but I didn't want to assign too homework. The point is to demonstrate how recent these events are.

Overhead photo of a pot of homemade chicken noodle soup. My beloved husband is diabetic so I used low-carb shirataki noodles instead of egg noodles or other carbs pasta. Recommend shirataki noodles if you need to cut your carb intake!
Made ginger chicken noodle soup with homemade broth and shirataki noodles and it was pretty darn tasty. I didn't have onion for a full mirepoix, so I suppose I added a mirep.

This liminal time between holidays is a great time to appreciate folks who fought the good fight this year. Thanks to everyone that stood against fear mongering. Thanks for not falling for the lies that trans folks and immigrants or anyone different than you are a threat. You're flippin' awesome!
It's a cartoon gold seal with a happy gray harbor seal giving a thumbs up (flipper up?) with "Seal of Approval" written around the seal. Drawn by a real human. That human is me.
This liminal time between holidays is a great time to appreciate folks who fought the good fight this year. Thank you to the teachers and librarians who protested book bans, fought for diversity and inclusion, and who protected the most vulnerable members of our communities. Seal of approval!
A comic strip with a Little Vampire opening what he thinks is a box of love but is actually a boxing glove. Slapstick ensues.
