We are proud to share Dr Taraman, and Dylan, continued this journey beyond our program towards a startup company, and now have officially been licensed by Orthopedic Specialty Bracing for their innovative brace!
In 2019, our BioENGINE (BME 180 Senior Design) students were tasked by Dr Sharief Taraman at CHOC to find a solution for Dylan, a cerebral palsy pediatric patient, who wanted to be able to write and perform daily tasks better given his tremors.

The Master of Engineering Program is a Professional Master’s program that includes a 6-month Capstone project with a company. One of the sponsoring companies this year is Inari Medical.
