Good to see him avoiding the trap of becoming part of the "smug progressive left" by refusing to be progressive or left.
But even though I didn't vote for it, "Untouched" coming in at 3 has made me unreasonably happy
Only 4 of the songs I voted for made it into the top 100.
Odd decisions from everyone else who voted.
Last time thst song did well in one of these "best of" countdowns, i remember him saying something like "please, please stop telling us that the nosebleed section is actually up the back. We know that now"
I didn't know that renting out my bank account was an option but it makes sense. There's plenty of storage room left in it.
Absolutely. Potatoes fried with mustard seeds, salt and flat leaf parsley are absolute best practice for potato salad
16 hours and one million posts about the Coldplay concert later and this is still the one post that makes me laugh every time I think of it
I saw a COU-ple
They were ca-NOOD-ling
Give the hottest 100 to Kyle and Jackie O: Ben Lee's radical plan to save Triple J and Aussie music
Imagine putting this behind a paywall and thinking "people will subscribe just to hear more about this great idea"
I used to get angry when people complained about their taxes funding the ABC but I get it now
Getting banned for life from this cafe because i wouldn't stop asking "Yes, but where is it now?"
If the gravy song wins i will lose it completely. I hate that song with my life.
Paul Kelly wrote a heap of other songs that are good. Why do people like that one. There's no excuse for it
Just for the record, I hate that guy
He really hates ticks and felt that that was the right thing to do in that moment, I guess.
I did not agree
Getting absolutely freaked out because when you were a kid your Dad used the part of the car specifically made for lighting cigarettes to try to kill a tick that was on your back.
We should all try to do that more often
I mean, it might be true. I don't know. I don't think anyone could possibly know
Almost sent an email inviting a colleague to ring me to discus a matter.
Is it really a typo if I genuinely want to grab the issue, spin around a couple of times and fling it as far from me as possible?
I know this was rhetorical but im just going to go ahead and guess that "about as well as it went for Gen X" would be a fairly safe answer
If you want to know what's wrong with me, this morning Duolingo told me I had a "Welsh score" I don't know what that is, how I got it, how to improve it or what it means.
But I immediately looked up everyone I know who learns Welsh on that App to see if their score was lower
A BBC news headline which says “Penguin says it did “all necessary due diligence” with The Salt Path
I’m no expert but I would’ve got a person to do it.
And if the replies to that post are any guide, they do not like us
It's sad the mushroom hoo-ha has overshadowed the delivery of the findings of the Kumanjayi Walker coronial inquest. It's not insubstantial for the NT coroner to find that Zachary Rolfe was racist, this wasn't the first time he'd used excessive force and that Kumanjayi's death was avoidable.
The replies to that "if you want more journalists on here" post did not make me want more journalists on here
I read the replies to this and it turns out journalists are not having a good time here.
On the bright side, free laughs are hard to come by these days, but Jeff Kennett calling for a Premier of Victoria to be accountable is wonderfully hilarious
At what cost? Pretty sure they did it for free
Always nice to see you too Jo
