Dragon Disease:
Just to be safe. Health and safety and all that. Hope you survive 😅
Lol the poison test is imperative!
So true, it's amazing when it happens eh?
A digital painting of two hands holding a large tear-drop shaped crystal that appears to be shimmering with light and potential, swirls of magic move around the hands and crystal.
A small pink tear-drop shaped crystal is held in two cupped palms which are being brought to a shimmer pool of water, everything sparkles with light and energy.
Two similar pieces painted years apart. I love painting the facets of a crystal, interesting to see how my style has evolved yet kept its essence as well.

A photo of a dragon artwork as a holographic print laid out on the table in a grid pattern.
A close up of a holographic print of the wood dragon showing its rainbow sparkles.
And this is how the final holographic prints look with their beautiful #rainbow highlights!
I've just a few of these left in stock for only £8 + shipping if you want to bring the Wood Dragon home with you!

A photo of a computer screen and a digital pen in hand as small details are added to the artwork.
The finalised artwork is then brought into #AffinityDesigner to add the vector areas where the holographic overlay will be added. This is my favourite part!
A painting of a beautiful green dragon who flows across the page in sinuous curves.
The finished artwork with added textures and painted refinements. I love creating dragons that seem to defy logic and change forms. They don't feel like the rage-filled Western dragons of mythology, but rather perhaps something more like the good-willed Asian dragons of ancient lore.

A little behind the scenes of my 'Wood Dragon' painted a few years ago, from rough sketch, to finished art, then vector additions and converting into a shiny #holographic print. I SO LOVE this colour scheme! 🧵

Proof that humanity is innately good, no matter what the media wishes to tell us.
A viral dog rescue from 2016 is now immortalized with a statue in Kazakhstan. When a dog fell into the Sayran reservoir, bystanders formed a human chain to pull him to safety. The statue is a reminder of the value of unity, solidarity and collective action. 14/10 for all
hah yes, such a delightful dream

Mummy of an adolescent boy, name unknown. The body appears to have been wrapped when in an advanced state of decomposition. The body is wrapped in fine linen, with an encaustic mummy-portrait inserted into the bandages over the face, the front panel of the wrappings has been intricately arranged into concentric diamonds, each with a gilded stud at the centre, cartonnage foot section with polychrome painted decoration. The boy has straight dark hair, cut in a Trajanic style, framing the face. His dark eyes are rendered larger than life, with dark thick eyebrows. He looks directly forward at the viewer, his head slightly turned to the left. We can just see his white chiton (tunic) and himation (cloak). Romano-Egyptian, from Hawara, Fayum, Roman period, ca. 100-120 CE. Excavated by Sr. William Matthew Flinders Petrie. British Museum, London (1888,0920.39)
Most people know of the beautiful ‘Fayum’ #mummy portraits from Roman Egypt, made in either tempera or encaustic (hot pigmented wax). We rarely see them as intended, inserted into their wrappings, as seen below. A gilded stud is affixed to the center of each concentric linen diamond. 🏺 1/

Tendinitis for 10+ years in my drawing arm. So every journey with my art is a balance of managing my pain, making healthy balanced choices and working less hours than I would like!
So true. I've had migraines for a long time and then one day I experienced an Ocular Migraine and that was a whole new level of fun and delight! The hang over from that lasted days!
yeah I agree! Next level idea Emily!
such a great idea!!
