We argue that this illustrates a profound negative ‘community impact’ of terrorism, which poses a threat to diversity and to the protection and inclusion of minorities as core liberal democratic values, and should be taken seriously by society and investigated in future terrorism research.
The findings show how the terrorist attack had major negative consequences on all three dimensions measured, not only for those directly affected because they experienced the attack first hand, but also for those indirectly affected through their LGBTIQ+ identity.
Based on an online survey of Norwegian LGBTIQ+/queer people (total N=906), including people who experienced the attack first hand (N = 127) and others who where not present (N = 777), the study focuses on emotional reactions, behavioral changes, and perceptions of Norwegian society after the attack.

For eksempel: De som misliker skeive har blitt mer synlige (og høylytte), bl.a. i kommentarfelt og sosiale medier. Skeive har også blitt en del av fiendebilde til både høyreekstreme og islamister. Debatter om Pride og rettigheter ser også ut til å føre til mer oppmerksomhet, inkludert hets og hat.
Takk for relevant spørsmål! Statistikken du viser til dokumenterer at befolkningen har blitt mer positive og mindre negative til skeive over tid. Samtidig viser vår forskning og andre rapporter at skeive ser ut til å oppleve mer hets og hat nå enn for få år siden. Det kan være flere grunner til det.

Funnene tyder også på at mange skeive opplever det norske samfunnet som mindre inkluderende enn før. Studien illustrerer hvorfor det er viktig at storsamfunnet viser støtte til skeive som en utsatt minoritet. Vi har alle et ansvar for at det skal føles trygt å være den man er og elske hvem man vil.
Den foreløpige upubliserte studien vi har gjort, basert på spørreundersøkelse blant 906 skeive i Norge, viser bl.a. at svært mange har følt på sinne og frykt, og at mange har unngått skeive arrangementer og møteplasser og skjult sin skeive identitet i etterkant av terrorangrepet.
I dag er det tre år siden det målrettede terrorangrepet mot skeive under Oslo Pride. I Klassekampen skriver jeg og Øyvind B. Solheim om konsekvensene av terrorangrepet for skeive i Norge, både for direkte berørte som opplevde terroren på nært hold og for andre skeive klassekampen.no/artikkel/202...
