When buying new Ttrg products Im always at a crossroads, do I buy a DND Kickstarter that I will use and bring the games I play in a lot more life, or do I buy a new Ttrg that I will probably play once and then never again

I Ve gotten to a point of having so many dice I can always use them to colour code with my characters

I seriously do not understand how people think races and species that are inherently evil are a good world building choice in a ttrpg

I don't know if it's a hot take but I find it a bit of a red flag when a man can't play as a female character ever in ttrpgs

In the last dnd one shot we had, there was a new player, i dont think he quite understood the game because the first thing he did was heal the enemies, but we just rolled with it and it was cool

Played a fun dnd one shot where we were all kobolds, the dm had a mini that looked like guts from berserk so i picked that one and called my kobold intestines. Honestly doing the kobold voice for hours was straining but it was fun anyway

the dysphoria is also a bitch but i ve grown to live with that better and hrt is helping a lot with that

For me the worst part of being trans is how you re constantly disrespected by other people, but the moment you push back agaisnt it and are upset they act like you re the evilest person ever

I always dread meeting a new ttrpg group or someone introducing someone new to our group, especially when they re cishet men because I know there's a high chance I will get misgendered relentlessly because I'm early on hrt and don't pass well

i tried avoid these things in my book but i tried to make each dragon unique and have weaknesses and unique gimmicks and personal tactics each of them employ and only a few use hit and run tactics but i made them frailer so you re not fighting a unkillable tank that nukes from orbit

i would rather you beef up the hp 3x times and let the breath weapon one shot me than just be a unhittable looming threat that pratically kills me from orbit with a DC that is almost impossible to beat

Just a #dnd dragon thought , but the way people recomend people play dragons with hit and run tacticts sounds good on paper but i ve had a fight like that and it was boring and frankly uninteractive and led to some frustating sessions of us just being terrorized by a dragon that didnt land

I know it's because the people who do this have only played that game but like I think it's kinda silly at some point honestly

I don't get the thing with extensively homebrewing rules for DND, honestly at that point I would just make my own ttrpg or simply play another one more catered to my taste

Black dragons also have a pretty cool design tbh

The DND blue dragon is the peak of DND dragon design in my opinion, it's distinctive horn and vain nature really cement it as my favorite

I once played lasers and feelings for a one shot, and it was honestly a ton of fun, we defeated the cyber zombies and the plot was just all around crazy

Its for sure not the best for the wallet, but I wouldn't have it any other way

my friend ran ordem paranormal and i read the manual in a few days, fun system

Im like the opposite of those dnd players that never want to try out a new system, someone says they re running a new system and im already asking for the book with the rules so i can read all of it

Now i read way more ttrpgs other than dnd and that spark hasnt gone away i still love reading game manuals, sadly not enough time to play all of them, would love playing thirsty sword lesbians

Dnd was my first ttrpg and i hyperfixated on it for the longest time so now i know all the rules by heart and some of my friends who i play #dnd with started calling me the wizard of the coast and players handbook. Its honestly pretty funny
