Can you imagine the Chair of Stonewall saying "I have huge respect for Brian Souter... ...He's a powerful advocate" as he funded the fight to keep section 28 in 2000.
Yet we have Kezia Dugdale saying that about JK Rowling as she becomes Chair of Stonewall in 2026

Asked about JK Rowling’s opposition to trans rights, Dugdale said: “I have a huge respect for JK Rowling. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her before and I think her story and how she came to be this prolific, incredible children’s writer in this city as a single mum writing in a cafe is phenomenal and an inspiration to so many women across the world. “I think she’s been a really powerful political advocate [for] improving the lot of single mums, making a case for tackling poverty and inequality in all its forms, and there is absolutely a place for her in public life to share her experiences and tell her story and make a difference.”
You think JK Rowling is a powerful advocate Kezia, a billionaire who has funded and advocated for so much hate and pain to the members of your community, both trans and cis.
You've already failed as chair of stonewall and you haven't even started. Deeply disappointing and just a massive let down.
Really? Kezia Dugdale was in the transphobic Scottish Labour party & is now praising a TERF who funds lawsuits against LGBTQ rights. She also refuses to acknowledge that the danger she feels as a lesbian comes directly from the 'gender critical' hate movement.
Where are you seeing good intentions?
This reads like a headline from The Onion:
“Kezia Dugdale, the new chair of Stonewall, defends JK Rowling and transphobic activists”
ಠ_ಠ
What fools let her run a UK-based LGBTQ+ rights organization?

The fact that Kezia Dugdale is saying “things could go backwards” when trans people are already losing their human rights tells you absolutely everything you need to know about Stonewall and Kezia Dugdale.
It tells you exactly who they care about, and who doesn’t matter.

Who believes Starmer's FCO blame transfer about Mandleson vetting?
Just checking! Hi from Edinburgh and have a nice day. Nx
Wtaf? Who needs this faux evaluation crap?!
Remember when Trump threatened to wipe out a whole civilization? And then backed out of that and talked about forming a deal with Iran? And then dropped that and went to a UFC fight as negotiations fell apart? And then unveiled a triumphal arch and a photo of himself as Jesus?
That was this week.
I want to be very clear for any cis followers who don't quite understand what this means:
Putting trans women in men's prisons amounts to providing them to male co-inmates and guards to be raped.
Labour is a pro-rape party.

Reform's back of an envelope manifesto. Wouldn't it because shame if every voter in Scotland got to see it...

New poll. Scottish Greens to beat Labour and Reform. Greens 17 MSPs, Labour 14, Reform 15. Let's Demand better. On May 7th vote Scottish Greens.
🚨 NEW POLL!
Yet another poll has the Scottish Greens overtaking Reform, Labour and the Tories.
We would become the second largest party in the Scottish Parliament!
On May 7th, let's demand better. Vote Scottish Greens. 💚
Netanyahu is bombing Lebanon because his political career (and therefore avoidance of prosecution) depends on constant war. How many more people must die for the sake of one man's standing?
This Holyrood MRP points to an extraordinary result, with the SNP having an outright majority, and Greens up significantly, and so nearly 2/3 of MSPs from pro-Indy parties.

The level of asymmetric reporting about this one plane on a hostile mission is ridiculous.
So much asymmetric reporting about one US pilot shot down on a hostile mission to kill hundreds of Iranians.
🚨IT’S BEEN DESCRIBED AS STATE SPONSORED TORTURE - AND ITS HAPPENING IN THIS COUNTRY - RIGHT NOW.
It’s one of the most cruel, inhumane and monumental injustices of the past half-century - and yet incomprehensibly it’s been allowed to continue under a Labour government

THE NEW WORLD (front cover) ISSUE 476, MARCH 26, 2026 | UK: Photos of part of Reeves’s face and part of Starmer’s - side by side with text superimposed on their faces… BREXIT WAS It's only taken them 10 years... A DISASTER .. but FINALLY the government agrees with us OFFICIAL
10 years of cost, red tape, business closures, lost opportunities, emboldened prejudice, national insecurity and social division.
A total waste of our time, resources and patience.
But refusing to face up to that has been the most dismal part. Political cowardice and dishonesty on an epic scale.
So fecking boring.
Young people who were children during Brexit are now asking: how did we end up with fewer freedoms than before? There is a clear sense of betrayal.
We must listen to this generation and rebuild opportunities for their future.

The Prime Minister’s plan to offer rapid routes to settlement for those earning six-figure salaries whilst punishing and making lower-paid workers wait up to 15 years appears to be based on the notion that care workers are “low-skilled” because they are low-paid - its an absolute disgrace

Over 50,000 patients have asked not to have their data placed on the Palantir federated data platform.
The government must listen — public trust is essential to the NHS, and it cannot be taken for granted.

The Greens plan to put social media giants like X and Facebook on the same legal footing as all other publishers in order to regulate them using defamation laws.
This is an important step forward. Everyone should back the move - even opponents of the Greens

This is an excellent historical run thru of trans 'healthcare' in the UK, and well worth saving for reference.
Id like to add a bit of personal context to things. 🧵
I was referred in Sept 2020. GP was, and still is clueless, had to take them through all the paperwork & process myself.
