i have to wonder how you actually enforce a no-genAI-code policy. like its hard enough to eyeball whether assets were genAI'd in all but the laziest cases, never mind print("hello world") against print("hello world")
me and sickboy scamming bank cards on the northernlion supercruise and trying 0451 as the pin on all of them
being excited for a code veronica remake is like being excited for the feel of the officer's revolver against your temple after a botched firing squad execution

Should they let you opt into challenge because that's the same thing
scrapped scrandle april fools joke that probably works better as a video dot mp4
i really think you should be playing more quake usermaps. i love the experience of going through the various jam projects, never quite knowing what you're going to get next. tight flow and setpieces, ambition and atmosphere, jokemaps, "i made my apartment building and filled it with spawns"
if i wanted to be rich i would probably make something that captures the feeling of a call of duty killstreak without having to worry about player counts or having to install a 300gb game on a windows machine
well, the stated purpose of a beta is feedback, and chinese players can't use most comms channels but can use negative reviews. that seems bad. otoh i jumped in my chair and screamed the first time i used the invoker in qbj3. good work ๐
if this happened to something i worked on i would not be posting about it, i would be smoking about 120 cigarettes and staring at the wall
steam review graph for slay the spire 2. a sudden spike in negative reviews started yesterday, totalling more than 10,000 so far
i've had nightmares like this and i prefer the ones i used to get about falling endlessly in a skybox textured by screaming faces

i shall be known as that guy that draws this one niche shmup girl
what is DE even doing in this conversation? every time i faced the scary marauder i slow-played his ass and kited him around the map for 15 minutes while i picked off everything as a target of opportunity
i love making icons for folks!! here's some recent ones ive drawn

human society has been a journey of the RHNB Red Hot Nickel Ball into the soft fontanelle at the top of a giant gummy bear
i really am one of those guys who freaks out when a game doesnt have a ball or gun in it, but i dont even like the ball, and tbh i'm pretty fussy about the gun too
you use them by clicking "skip" on the items but true, clicking them should probably do something at least
This is fucking proper mate. Absolute class
since (and including) re7 every game has had to have a fuckin annoying super-scripted nothing section at the start, maybe solely for the purpose of making speedrunners miserable
"hiding your power level" was an adjacent concept about like hiding the fact you like moe anime or whatever and then in various circles it became a shorthand way to describe cryptofascism
yeah i love that. thats why i play those games. i play to get scared, to overcome that fear, and then for the optimisation puzzle, lore and funny feeling on repeat playthroughs.
resi's best trick is lulling you into a gradual sense of security as you appear to beat the resource curve, and then deploying some new hazard / pursuer that appears totally unstoppable, exists outside the resource system or, worse, is very expensive to deal with. it's self-regulating, to a point
this is really cool
