言うわけがありませんし、1945年の沖縄戦まで、暴力で琉球人をおさえつけたのが歴史です。
けれども「法律上は沖縄県民でしょう」と言うのは日本人の考え方です。
無理やり日本国民にされたというのが、琉球人から見た歴史です。
だから同じような歴史があるスコットランドやカタルーニャでは、独立のための投票が行われました。
私は琉球独立を望みますが、そうでない琉球人でも、これからは琉球人の視点で沖縄戦を語ってほしいです。

聞いてびっくりしたという話があります。琉球国は、世界的にも有名な平和な国でした。
しかし、沖縄県になってからは多くの琉球人が兵隊に取られました。
そして、アジアの人たちの命を奪う日本の侵略戦争に参加することに追い込まれたのです。
さらにあまり語られないのが、沖縄県で移民が多いのは貧困のためと言われますが、日本の兵隊になりたくないからというのも理由の一つです。
沖縄戦では、兵隊ではない一般の琉球人が10万人以上も、日本人が始めた侵略戦争に巻き込まれ命をなくしました。
ここで、「琉球人？ 沖縄県民じゃないの？」と思うかもしれません。

Today, the official administrative name for鳥小堀 in Shuri is “首里鳥堀町.”
これも「鳥小堀」に戻したいものですね。
It would be wonderful to restore this name back to “鳥小堀.”
さらにもう一つ大切なのが読み方です。
Another important point is the pronunciation.
うちなーぐちで「鳥小堀」は「とぅんじゅむい」と読みます。

しかしですよ！バス会社が沖縄県立開邦高校近くのバス停に3文字「鳥小堀」と書かれたバス停を作っていました。
However! A bus company once created a bus stop near Okinawa Prefectural Kaiho High School labeled with the three-character name “鳥小堀.”
嬉しくなり撮影しました。
I was so delighted that I took a photo of it.
現在、首里の鳥小堀の行政での正式な名称は「首里鳥堀町」です。
