Jimmy Pursey, frontish right, Jimi Hendrix behind him, Jimmy Crankie on John Ravenscroft's lap. :-)
Thanks!
Off to Bilbao to see @edwyncollins.bsky.social next week. Obviously heading to the Guggenheim, but any recommendations for veg eating, quality boozing and record shopping will be gratefully received.
I hadn't known until that message dropped into my lap.
A good read for anybody interested in non-league football / football governance.
night time picture, illuminated sign on bus stop, 2 young guys in sports gear and pink hi vis vests saying in lettering 'I am registered to vote' with sports hall behind them and then details about how to resister to vote below in text and top left text 'The Electoral Commission' and top right, 'Your Vote Matters Don't Lose It'
day time picture, Leith, Edinburgh street scene with lamppost and sign with young female with long hair and glasses and text saying 'I'm registered to vote' and 'Scottish Parliament Election 7 May 2026 and info on registering in text at bottom'
Your #Vote really does matter, now more than ever. Today is the last day to www.gov.uk/register-to-... for the upcoming #elections, it is really quick and easy to do online, make sure your voice is heard, we all need to do what we can for a better future for everyone!
Thanks. Malcolm's hair always surprises me. For some reason I've mentally refitted it to a short back and sides.
Coyote, 80s/90s party band is pure Partridge.
Watching Palantir do Sephiroth posting about multiculturalism and I would like to remind everyone that they were doing corporate fake woke shit just like every other company.
They'd legislate shooting shoplifters before they'd spend the excessive cash on these C3PO Hectors.
In a world of Trump-level stupidity, this takes the entire biscuit barrel.
Looks like you may have deleted them before I saw them?
What year was this? I have a recording of them at the LSE from 3 April 1990.
“Take a moment to think before you dive in. That’s the best advice for Google Photos users, as the company confirms its latest update can scan all your photos to “use actual images of you and your loved ones” in AI image generation.”

Have just gone way beyond my financial comfort zone to book John Waters tickets at the Bridgewater Hall next February. He's worth it. I'm worth it.
By the time we see the Code of Practice, it will be too late to make sure it's trans inclusive. We have very little time. Reach out to your MP now 👇
'Last Night I Dreamt I Had Comical Breasts' to misquote The Slugs.
Pre-match swinging singles. No Peeling squared, Ye Nuns, The Who, Sister Wives and Dorotea.

Big deal. 😉
So, here we are, ready for the final Malcolmses of the season. From Bradford City on 5 July last year to 6 April against Hednesford we’ve been blessed with 15 spoken word acts (and we’ve really stretched that definition) and 21 top level musical turns.
Two copies of The Go-Betweens LP, 'Before Hollywood'.
My original copy started to jump during 'A Bad Debt Follows You', so I picked up a replacement from Kingbee, likely 30 years ago. AND THEN I got a record cleaner and BOOM! Bobby F's your uncle, two great sounding copies.
Unmistakable beak and head.
Goosander. Sweet.
My absolute favourite LP. The soundtrack for me courting the current Mrs. Robot Forster. By the time Spring Hill Fair came out we were living over the brush.
I think that's the Lesser Free Trade Hall - venue for the two renowned Sex Pistols gigs and where Buzzcocks made their debut. Which is why they played here again for the B'dum B'dum documentary. Possibly.
It's interesting to see the dislocation between the singles chart - a wide range of acts and labels - and the LPs chart - less choice and label consolidation. The sheer expense of recording, releasing and promoting an LP must have favoured the trad dads.
A smear...
