You need to think about who will buy your book, What's the market for it, who it will appeal to? That needs to be in there, the more international you can make it, the better. Happy to send the one I did for CUP if it helps.

Knew I could count on you. Assumed it was some equality between languages thing and could have been worse they could have alternated word by word

This is one of those weird american affectations where they keep giving the person the title of offices they no longer hold for the rest of their lives

He definitely did and you're probably right he is a better writer. The Scott lynch stuff is ok, but I prefer Joe Abercrombie is for that type of thing

In a small town in County Cork, Ireland, a monument stands in appreciation to the American Choctaw Indian Tribe.
Although impoverished, shortly after being forced to walk the Trail of Tears, the tribe somehow gathered $170 to send to Ireland for famine relief in 1847 [Historic Vids]

Seeing a performer successfully hype the crowd with "When I say constitutional, you say crisis!" makes me wonder if we're doing public law conferences all wrong

This is why I am writing an open access textbook on international human rights law that will be free for everyone - academic publishing sucks!

Hearing a lot of Russell group unis are taking on staggering numbers of Home UG students to offset weaker international recruitment. This has been a recent trend, but it seems to be out of control this recruitment cycle. Downstream impact on newer unis will be catastrophic @gsoh31.bsky.social

Dicey - "Johnny foreigner must be envious of the British system of the rule of law"
France - *gestures at everything*
Dicey - "well I didn't mean those specific bits"

Thanks to this excellent blog, I've recently learned what a super-injunction is. From a foreign public lawyer's perspective it's bonkers.

Perhaps Professor Dicey will stop defaming French administrative law now.

The absolute cherry on top is the working class hero defending proletarian AI in this piece works at Microsoft and lectures at Cambridge lol.

That said, undercooked fever dreams making their way into academic journals is one of the oldest traditions in Academia, so in many ways this fits right in.
